Regarding the Carney/Smith announcement expected this week being typical political BS, I think Eby's response is a CYA in that most of the pundits that I listen to feel that if a poll was taken today the majority of British Columbians would be in support ....
Financing is always the most critical aspect of any type of project and if the private sector doesn't see a business case for it, then Smith and Alberta need to present ways to aliviate those concerns...
But I think it needs to happen soon as more and more the global economies are moving to renewable energy...
For example, Saudi Arabia with the second largest proven oil reserves is on a massive project to have over half of its electrical power come from renewables by 2030 which is crazy when you think that just 5 years ago it had no solar power...
