Thanks Tciso, that's a lot to digest and definitely some areas for improvement for me.

Guys, hit this man up for advice if you have any questions (which most of you old farts should have considering your age! Also considering how much posting goes on here, I suspect many of you are well off in decent jobs where you have time to do this and you're not posting while on the shitter on Dude's construction site).

Thought I would give an update. I have had my final set of consultations and am getting ready to begin treatment. No set date yet but it should begin in the first week of December. What do I have to look forward to? 25 sessions of radiation and 'low intense chemo.' Then I get about a month break and then I start 'high intense chemo.' Should be a fun end to the year.

Wishing you all the best theman.

Last year I was told that I might have to come in on 24th so they could start my radiation on the 26th but because of the stat holidays they delayed it a week so I was able to enjoy Christmas and New Years at home and went in on Jan 2nd.

One thing I found, at least for me, that they have a set program for patients and then modify to match your unique requirements. For me they said it will take 1 year to really start feeling better but 2 years to feel “normal “. In my last appointment with the specialist she said I can probably stop having to take my chemo sometime in February/March. They may also stop another drug that you normally only take for 1 year post transplant. I will be down to only a couple medications from the highest which about 15-16 different drugs and supplements.

Are you staying in the hospital or just day trips?

Just day visits.

Thanks again everyone. I am not ‘excited’ to go through this but do want to get it started and done.

In honor of Strange, we all know Strange hated the leaves and the Pigman Austin Matthews. Our old buddy Big Zaddy doing a big solid by taking out Matthews with a borderline hit and Matthews gets injured in the play. Strange would be smiling up above.
