2025-26: OOTS Thread

Post by Meds »

The Pens bent the Rangers over the table yesterday and gave them a Messier.

Pittsburgh decided to open the season with Silovs between the pipes instead of veteran $5.3M goaltender, Tristan Jarry. The former Canuck posted a 25 save shutout.

I love small sample sizes.

The Shark debacle towards the open net reminded me of the Patrick Stefan clusterfuck that resulted in a last second Hemsky goal.

Yeah...the next best player beyond the twins in that draft was Havlat and he was taken towards final choice as I recall.

Always liked Brian during both his tenures here.

Lots of great Burkie stories out there.....

Now, truth be told and full clarity/transparency RG, I didn't say anything about Burkies performance(s).....

Edit...ah Mr.Mëds....'twas you who provided augmentation to the discussion RG refers to by crediting Brian's performance draft day '99.

Early of course but our ol' pal (wot) Kuz and his linemates in LA (Kopitar - does this dude ever age, that's the '05 Bourdon draft ffs - and Kempe) have combined for 9 points in 2.5 games thus far.

No Barkov.

No Tkachuk.

No problem?

Florida 3-0, plus 6 in goals and a perfect PK thus far.
