I was thinking about the curse when Karlsson nailed the post in OT, but then I remembered Abby wears the true Johnny Canuck crest. So they should be immune.

I have to admit, when Sasson hit the post in overtime last game, I had an immediate painful psychic reaction with a flash back to Mike Vernon’s glove same on Stan Smyl in OT of the 1989 Smythe Division Semifinals. It was a dark place.

Thankfully on this occasion they have another chance.
Them Baby Canucks need to push past my psychic premonitions and get this done tonight.

I was going to mention Nathan Lafayette for a flashback because of the goal post. Smyl on Vernon is another good heartbreak. When we thought we lost Game 1 in OT with that faceoff fiasco, my immediate flashback was Lars Lindgren shooting the puck into his own net with seconds left to keep us from beating those mighty 80's Oilers. Let's be honest we can ring off a hundred examples to recall with this franchise .

Sasson hit two goal posts in OT now among a many other in regulation time (Sammy hit a few). This baby should be over. But nope, it's gotta be so Canuck to have a highly disappointing and invisible Puljujarvi bounce a puck in off not one but two Canucks players from behind the net after the Baby Nucks dominated the entire OT.

If/when we get it done tonight, think we need to beach the whale and go full Johnny immediately for both clubs. Keep the same jersey for both teams (love the home greens)..just flip the A to a V on the sleeves to differentiate and the big club can keep the skate blacks as the 3rd jersey. So done constipated whale.
