Quite the cap dump, at that. Got a prospect picked in the 2nd round, and a 3rd round pick for Kreider’s contract and a 4th round pick. No retention.

Not bad. Opens up a lot of cap space.
Definitely a lot of teams with good cap space this year - UFAs going to get paid. Might be best to stay out of that shit show for this season.

Ducks still have like 25mil if I'm reading that correctly. Geez.

Maybe that’s why Rutherford poo-pop’s the prospect of fixing the roster (ie-2C) via UFA splash. Vancouver has cap space, but other teams have more.
Love the Sport. Love the Team.

Hate the League.

NYR is clearing space for one or some of Boeser, Necas, Ehlers, Robertson, Peterka etc., apparently they is shopping both Lafrenierre and K’Andre.

I wonder if JT is talking them to into going after Boeser? Did that with Soucey.

NJD sign Juho Lammikko to a 1yr deal.

Probably will sign Noah Juulsen as a UFA, and lure Olli Juolevi out of Finland to complete the greatest draft/deal in Canuck's history.

Wow, if you haven't seen it - check out the video of the Delta Centre reno going on for the Mammoth:

Youtube video of reno

Nice to have an owner who cares about the fans, and their experience. And has money. Instead of unlimited supply of blueberries...

Guess the question is should the public be required to pay for the renovation?...

You seem to think so given your comments?

Take care...

I do, the Canucks bring in a significant amount of revenue to the city and Province as a whole, as well as are a large employer/charity in BC.

Plus I'm a fan, and I want a better team/arena/practice facility etc. Selfishly.

Didn't the water boy own a lot of land near Rogers and didn't he build towers? Why didn't he put in a practice facility??? Just saying he had the chance.

Very enlightening news. Where is this magic facilty located 15-20 minutes away in this city? All they do is build up but there's no new blacktop getting tossed down. Should the players ride the skytrain? Pull your head out of your ass and start battling for some air.

I think it’s a fair assessment on the pros and cons of a practice rink location in a city that is utterly frustrating to move around in, I know you only come downstream between dusk and dawn, Doyle but it’s a gong show. There’s locations to build a practice arena. Problem is, the Aqualini’s are cheap and are currently in the throes of a family dispute with Paolo wanting out. Real Estate is crashing, land is expensive, foreign investment is drying up, locals are broke, interest rates are high, labour costs are high and of pour quality, Trumps tariffs has raised prices on already expensive building materials, Aqualini’s bread and butter is hurting right now. The money tree ain’t blossoming as it once was.

Weird....are you hiring out of manpower to pour your concrete or something?

Funny story from years ago. I was wiring up a print shop somewhere down around the channel 13 studios (can't recall what the neighbourhood is called) and needed a hand pulling the heavy teck feeders into place. There was a bunch of bum types hanging around outside a place that guys would go to get work for the day kind of thing.

I mistakenly walked up and asked if anyone wanted to make some cash and this absolute pig reeker of a dude sprang up and ended up tugging on the cable for me for an hour.

He actually stunk up an entire empty warehouse with all the roll up doors open and shit. Smelled like fermented piss

Sounds like the perfect time to build...

Far from it. Labour and material costs ain’t coming down. Finding commercial property suited for an ice rink is scarce unless you want to build a condo tower over top. The condo market is crashing and the Aqualini’s are in that racket,
I hear the Oakridge mall development is having serious money problems.
