Nothing would be that bad.

But a cheap 2 year contract?

Marchand isn't signing anywhere for less than $8M after this season. He was already told by Boston at the beginning of the season that they would be looking at an extension for no less than his current $6.125M was paying him. His performance in this playoffs means a raise is on the table.

A personality like Marchrat also would be a very risky addition if the plan is to keep Pettersson.
Somewhere in NW BC trying (yet again) to trade a(nother) Swede…..

Yeah, at any salary, I guess that could be a problem. So do we stop bringing in "energy" guys because they might offend a certain player?

I'd take him, but his age is a deterrent for me.

I would take him on a 2 year. He's still a helluva player.

And yes, if you keep a guy who gets butt hurt easily and declare him to be your 1C, then you have to factor that in when signing UFA's.

Oilers played safe. Up the walls and mostly to the outside. It's like they wanted to avoid risking getting into puck battles if they could. A couple times McDavid would get a head of steam and make it through, but Florida just kept slowing them down in the neutral zone.

It would be interesting to see how Edmonton would have played with the lead, but unless they try taking some chances going through the centre of the ice vice up the walls, if Florida gets up it looks like scoring on the power play is the only way Edmonton would stand to get back in it.

Here's hoping it ends in 6. Then we can dedicate a good solid Eagles tune to the Oilers.

Somebody's gonna come undone.
There's nothin' we can do"
The Cup is soooooo ours!!!!!!!
