Re: Canucks News N Notes 24-25
Quinn has said, repeatedly, all the right things. He wants to be a leader on this team, he loves Vancouver, wants to be part of bringing a Cup here, feels an obligation to finish the job. What more can he say? He has never, publicly, given any indication that he wants to move on. This is media driven hype we see surround most key players as the approach FA. I believe he is committed to being here. I believe he will re-sign. He is a pro and he knows there is so much that goes on on a team that he cannot control, no matter what team he is on.
The latest also has a rift between the Sedins and Pettersson. Who makes this shit up. If there was such a rift, if the twins thought Pettersson was dogging it I for one think he would have been the one moved. Hell he still might be.
It gets tiring reading all the bs. But it is not just our media. Every team is going through this.

The big red flag for Chef is how long the shit in the room with Petey has been going on. Too long in my books. Get rid of him. Clean house of the insubordinate malcontents. The drama needs to end.

Yeah, been seeing snippets and hints on the net about this rift between Petey and the Twins; he's uncoachable and such, like they've thrown their hands up with him after trying thus far. I have no idea where this is coming from either. If this is real, you wonder why management offered him that extension instead of trading him then before all this exploded. Even Benning cut his losses with the likes of Virtanen.Hockey Widow wrote: ↑Sat May 31, 2025 10:53 pm The latest also has a rift between the Sedins and Pettersson. Who makes this shit up. Just let the offseason come, and let's see what management does. This shuffling about with nothing but these nuggets floating about the info environment while we wait for the championship to be decided is wearisome.
Fucking drop the puck already!

It’s not difficult to surmise that the disciplined and dutiful and ultra professional Sedins may not respect how Pettersson carries himself professionally. They most likely have thrown in the towel in trying to reach him. Whereas Miller tried with tough love, the Sedins tried with kindness. The result the same. I’ve had employees like this, there’s no changing them. They are who they are. They are on the “spectrum” types. After awhile ya just need to cut ‘em loose. It’s not so much about what to get in return but more about getting rid of the toxicity is what the actual return is.

On a different note, word is spreading that Kevin Dean will be announced as an assistant to Foote, handling the blueline.
Guy was doing the same job in Chicago for the last couple of years after being an assistant in Boston. Guy was an assistant and later head coach of Providence. No raving reviews of the guy, but generally positive. I wager Foote will still be heavily involved with the D in any case, so no cause for emotion really either way.
With Svejkovky also on the staff doing skills and special teams, the question is who will help with the forwards?

I heard EP hates his parents, hates his immediate family, kicks kittens and puppies and mocks homeless people as he counts his money in front of them.

Funny how that shit has faded into the ether now that Money-Stacks Baby Daddy is back playing and in the Finals. The media love their narratives, it seems.

I'd take Ike Turner on this team in a heartbeat.
