Definitely. The way Twerpchinko and Faska were hitting to injure the Jets tonight...just imagine that level of physicality up against whatever the Canucks can throw over the boards right now.Blob Mckenzie wrote: ↑Wed Apr 30, 2025 9:21 pm
This hockey is way too fast and mean for this powderpuff team in Vancouver as its currently constucted.
But... but... Sherwood had 462 hits last year!
Miller signed for $8M after being a better than 1.0 PPG player for 4 seasons after arriving in Vancouver. If I recall correctly, Horvat was being offered somewhere in the high $6M range and had never managed better than 61 points. He balked at it and was dealt. He then signed for $8.5M after being traded to the Islanders.....so we know what he was asking for. Horvat has never managed better than 68 points in a season, which he did last year, and this season he produced 57 points. Bo was a good player, he was hard on the puck, and great in the circle. He was the furthest thing from as asshole. Keeping Miller was the right decision.Chef Boi RD wrote: ↑Thu May 01, 2025 2:42 pm They piss Horvat off by low-balling him during contract negotiations and then trade him choosing Miller over him all the while, according to some ex teammates and coaches, Miller was getting in Petterson’s grill when Horvat was here.
Management lets the Miller/Pettersson drama fester affecting the team. Had a great opportunity to trade Miller at peak value and keeping Horvat insteadx, who has been putting up good numbers since being traded to NYI.
With the drama festering and Petey playing like garbage and is still playing like garbage is gifted a ridiculous in intradeable contract by management
The Miller/Pettersson war reaches a boiling point, Miller goes on leave, and we learn now that Tocchet, the now ex-coach, was in the Miller camp which most likely was the reason why we kept Miller over Horvat.
We don't know that Tocchet wanted an extension last year, do we?Management decides to walk Tocchet to the end of his contract instead of extending him last summer. Another missed opportunity.
When did they desperately try to trade Pettersson? I've never heard that. Now backed into a corner, management desperately tries to trade Miller and Petterson, apparently having a golden opportunity to trade Pettersson for Necas and Kotkianemi but passed, now we are stuck with a player who is aloof, non-committed to offseason training and working hard in practice.
Unquestionably, this management team of Rutherford and Allvin have been pretty brutal over the past 12-18 months.I could keep going but this management group are turning out to be a bunch of fuck ups. It will be fun watching them fuck up the Hughes situation now - “he wants to play with his brother”, why the fuck does have to say that? Idiot
