Best front office sandwiches in the league though.

Megs, this season has not been a great look for Allvin and Rutherford. It’s been a Royal disaster. Ya just know that the Aqua Bros are close to havin’ their East Van boys take them for a little canoe ride in Lake Tahoe.

After some adjustments later today my ignore list will be creeping higher than the amount of people I actually read on this board.

It's Allvin's fault that Demko was injured most of the season. It's his fault Hughes got hurt and Pettersson as well. The Hronek injury is definitely management's fault. Boeser getting elbowed in the yap was all on management. Silovs playing horrible hockey is for sure on Allvin. Maybe it was the sandwich makers fault.

That people take Brown Cherry at his word is comical.

I’m just spit-ballin’ here Macchenzzi! We need to look at everything. The surgery needs to be tactical. The season was one hot mess.

Blasting management in every post is looking at everything..... Roger that.

I remember when Brown Cherry and Halford and Brough were public enemy #1 on this board.

I'm taking Dhali's word with a mountain of salt, Blob. I mean, we do have to talk about something, and this seems topical.

Dhali might have it wrong, but there is a story here somewhere.

I call Dhaliwal, Dhali Royale for his love for Crown Royale, a disgustingly gross Canadian product.

Not sure if this is the right spot for this but why is John Shorthouse not qualified to call games in the playoffs? Ham Singh and Jack Michaels are good to go though.

We have always had the best game callers in the business. Top 5 at worst. We had Robson, Hughson, Shorty.... have turned out Ball, Randorf and now Abbot. I guess race is a huge thing. Jack Klompus is a better announcer than Jack Michaels

IMO, this season can be summed up as a Murphy season. I remember the pundits before the 23-24 season saying how so many things had to go right for the Canucks to make the post-season. That season, every bet management seemed to make was a hit - even as they started to falter after the all-star break.

This season, after everything that went right, everything seemed to go wrong. Team chemistry issues, key injuries, key losses at times when they could have saved their season - it just seemed to perpetuate this cursed miasma over the team this season.

The glimpses of greatness were there - against potent opponents, no less - to give us hope that this season was an outlier. There were youngsters who showed that they can take a step forward next year, which is something we haven't seen much of since Bieksa, Burrows and Kesler graduated to the big club after Manitoba's AHL playoff run. Depending on how this off-season goes, there is a lot of reason to believe that the team that shows up this October will be better than the one who started it the year previous.

That said, and I can't stress this enough, it all hinges on what EP40 shows up at camp this Fall.

The fucker better have an offseason worthy of a Stallone-esque Rocky montage.

He's been saying for a while now that the holdup on Willander signing is a stubborn battle between the agent Todd Diamond and management over Schedule A bonuses amounting to maybe 200 K. He has stuck to this story no matter what else is out there, and lately his story has been getting some traction.

Yep. Your point about Bieka, Bur, and Kes, is well taken…..and links nicely with your comments on Pettersson. The aforementioned trio were secondary players who came along as the Sedins were stepping into their own. Timing was perfect. All of our upcoming “grads” are secondary and tertiary pieces. Required pieces that competitive teams need to have, but Hughes power the bus alone.
