The primary goal of this site is to provide mature, meaningful discussion about the Vancouver Canucks. However, we all need a break some time so this forum is basically for anything off-topic, off the wall, or to just get something off your chest! This forum is named after poster Creeper, who passed away in July of 2011 and was a long time member of the Canucks message board community.

I don't understand the hatred for everything Musk.
So you're ok with billionaires buying elections outright - heading up a group that is haphazardly throwing a wrecking ball around the government for no reason other than to cause chaos? He's a right wing troll, so of course people will be pissed at him. I used to have respect for him, but no longer.
Edit: Keep in mind the musk is just an investor - he hasn't invented anything.
As for boycotting Tesla - that's one way of voicing displeasure. As for the protests, as long as they're peaceful, people have a right. Vandalism - especially against people's cars and ugly-ass trucks is not ok. The general public can't boycott Space-X, so tesla and twitter are the popular choices.
People still buy Fords despite Henry's Ford's anti-Semitism, and of course, still buy Volkwagons. Too far in the past to do anything about it.
If you agree with everything musk is doing, then keep enjoying the clownshow.
I guess we're curving away from Canadian politics, but if she was found guilty of embezzling, maybe it's a good thing that she doesn't run the country (not that she would have won) - a 5 year penalty from running for office. She'll be back (and of course, she can appeal). It seems that Russia is upset, too! "going down the path of trampling over democratic norms." - Yeah, if anyone should know.

No 'clownshow' for France I guess. Only approved candidates need apply.
Ditto Romania, Germany, or anyone else who wants to get froggy.
If she actually is guilty of embezzling EU funds, then I'm very OK with this.
Think about it for a second. Trudeau is guilty of a helluvalot of shady shit. He should have been removed from office and banned from running.....we woulda been fine with that.
Politicians SHOULD be fearful of losing their positions and potential for position if they break the law.
Somewhere in NW BC trying (yet again) to trade a(nother) Swede…..

I don't know Mëds, I don't follow French politics at all.
A stroke of good luck for Macron and the globalists, though.
Nationalist politicians seem uniquely susceptible to getting into legal trouble lately. You can't help but notice...
And of course, we also had the results of the recent election annulled after the nationalist Georgescu won. And Georgescu is now barred from running in the upcoming Romanian election despite being the clear choice of the people.
I'm not sure what he did, but it must have been terrible.
Point is @Cornuck, there is a lot of this going around these days and I fear it could affect the election in my country of Canada. And that's the reason I posated it in this thread.

Yeah. That’s why I predicated it with the “If she actually is…”

He crossed the line where absolute power corrupts.
Happens to the best of us…..or something to that effect would have been the talking points from the mainstream media mouthpieces if Musk was on the side of the Dems.

Fair enough. Thankfully you don't have the far-far right candidates that are seen in Europe and down here (that I know of). Also consider that there could be a correlation between far right candidates getting charged and the possibility that maybe, just maybe, the far right attracts the worst people?

Some of these nationalists are far left too eh Corn. Like the president of Slovakia, Robert Fico. He's an old guard communist, and a lunatic globalist has already tried to kill him. It was a bad stabbing that put Fico in the hospital. Lula in Brazil is kind of left I think too. And Maduro in Venezuela is way left of Lula, in fact Lula hates Maduro and blocked Venezuela from BRICS membership because of that hate.
Anyway man, this left/right stuff is kinda played out. It's much more nationalist/globalist in my opinion. 'Course I could be nuts, many would say so
