Peter for McTavish and Trouba?
Re: Re-booted SKYO approved pipe dreams and trade ideas
A game breaking top-6 you say…..and that lands you at Mason McTavish? A career high of 42 points (this season), pacing at a 55Pt pace over 82 games, doesn’t sound “game breaking” to me.BoS wrote: ↑Mon Mar 24, 2025 10:16 am So with the exodus of character two-way centres Miller and Horvat to New York over the past couple years, the team is sorely lacking in leadership, experience and game breaking ability down the middle.
Management now has a gargantuan mandate to acquire a top six game breaker who can support Hughes with the heavy lifting.
Mason McTavish is the first player that comes to mind. Would Anaheim deal him? For the right price, any player is available
At what cost though?
But hey, he’s younger and still has the upside to be a 75-80 point guy, plus he probably signs a bridge deal for half of what Petey makes.
So let’s run with it…..
To ANA: Petey + Hoglander + pick
To VAN: McTavish + Zegras
Somewhere in NW BC trying (yet again) to trade a(nother) Swede…..

Understanding yer just fucking about here...but...my guess is Verbeek is not trading a head case, Zegras, who he has struggled with ad infinitum....
...for another head case.
Especially since our head case comes with The Weight....

Verbeek thinks you're funnier than Matt Rife
He's very likely correct....

They had a journalist who covers the Ducks in Anaheim on 650 last week, based on the interview, McTavish ain’t going anywhere, so get your hands out of your pants. He says it won’t be long until he’s wearing the C he’s that well thought of in Anaheim.BoS wrote: ↑Mon Mar 24, 2025 10:16 am So with the exodus of character two-way centres Miller and Horvat to New York over the past couple years, the team is sorely lacking in leadership, experience and game breaking ability down the middle.

Apparently they’ve explored the idea of moving Zegras.

I’m new at this and still full of drugs but let me throw something out there.
Trade Chytil and Demko and sign Bennet and Marner. Trading the 2 players gives the Canucks ~$25M in space to sign both and have a few million left to sign the last couple of players.
Should I lay off the drugs?
well actually I can’t but what the hell.

Actually, you might be on to something with Chytil.
Pettersson and Chytil (16m)
McTavish (RFA) Zegras and Trouba (13.75)
Chytil’s insured, right?

The Weight provides star power while keeping the team above the floor.

Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.

As an aside.
One of my fav Bowie tunes.
The acoustic version with guitar and vocal only is great.
Quiye enjoy that entire album tbh.
Back to pussies and overpaid hockey players....
