Making fans, not gouging fans.
Part of what should be embarrassing for the Little Eagles about their grade is that the "making fans" part of their job can almost be taken for granted. There is a large and loyal built-in fan-base and they don't have to do anything to cultivate it if they can avoid pissing it off. The Canucks sales and promotions manager has a relatively easy job.

The only thing the owners have to do is find themselves an actual hockey management genius (at least Rutherford has won a few Cups, so that's an argument in his favour), give him a realistic budget and timetable, and then stay the fuck out of his way while he does his job.

That assumes, of course, that they want an "A"; they may have other motives. It's their toy, so maybe they want to have fun with it. I wouldn't buy a Lambo if I didn't get to drive it sometimes.

Which brings us back to how much of the making fans job they can take for granted. It's their Lambo and they can drive it where they want, but if they obviously aren't trying to go where we want to go, then the fans should stop paying for their gas and maintenance.

Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.

I'm amazed that so many people choose to be complete twats.

And he refused to come onto the ice when the Hawks pulled their goalie saying he did not want the record breaking goal to be into an empty net.

Chef is starting to not like Bedard. The kid doesn’t impress me. I’m seeing a lot of Zegras in him. I hope I’m wrong. Completely underwhelmed by his game in the Blackhawks game I’ve seen. I’m picking Fantilli over him in a redraft.

Dangler likes Frank Nazar, shifty in the o-zone, not scared to do some bangin forechecks on far larger players.

I like Nazar’s game more than Bedard’s right now, his effort is much more noticeable, seems more dangerous and active and gets dirtier, involved. Bedard doesn’t seem very engaged, almost lazy. The kid needs a boot in the ass.
