Yeah,..so...I think we're in agreement here. There are no quick fix solutions for this year and possibly the next based on how bleak things look. We're no longer building/adding to that decent looking core of Miller, Horvat, Pettersson (when he was good), Hughes, and Demko, etc., because it has evolved and left us with not much of a core anymore or one that needs to be rebuilt. Sadly, I think our 'core' consists of Hughes these days. Did I miss anyone?

Think we're all in agreement here. The closest thing we've ever had to a generational talent since Pavel. Can never take this kid for granted and enjoy him while he's here folks, just hope it's for a long long time.

So with the exodus of character two-way centres Miller and Horvat to New York over the past couple years, the team is sorely lacking in leadership, experience and game breaking ability down the middle.
Management now has a gargantuan mandate to acquire a top six game breaker who can support Hughes with the heavy lifting.
Mason McTavish is the first player that comes to mind. Would Anaheim deal him? For the right price, any player is available
