Scooter, two shots in three games, less than ten minutes against the US. Only 6.5 minutes of even strength time. Zero shots vs the US.

Maybe he was unable to train all summer like his agent says.

Re: Canucks News N Notes 24-25
I almost want the team to fall short this year. It just isn’t their year - especially the way Petey just can’t seem to get untracked. This team will only go as far as he will take them, and that’s nowhere this year unless he has a “Rocky” montage-worthy turn-around moment before playoffs. If he can’t turn himself around, then just flush the season and build for next season.

Canucks sign O'Conner to 2 year extension.
Good, no risk 'Show me' contract for a middling forward

A bit much for a bottom-6 forward at $2.2 million AAV, but he's young and it's only two years. Hopefully he outperforms it though, at 26, he may well be what he is at this point in his career.Madcombinepilot wrote: ↑Tue Feb 18, 2025 10:18 am Canucks sign O'Conner to 2 year extension.

I have really liked what I’ve seen from him. Loads of hustle.Lancer wrote: ↑Tue Feb 18, 2025 10:58 amA bit much for a bottom-6 forward at $2.2 million AAV, but he's young and it's only two years. I agree - a bit much. But not going to break the bank like one of the other contracts on this team. At least this guy hustles. Hopefully some more than replacement-level offense will come of it.Lancer wrote: ↑Tue Feb 18, 2025 10:58 amA bit much for a bottom-6 forward at $2.2 million AAV, but he's young and it's only two years. 2.2 is fine for what he brings.
Solid contract by this GM once again

2.5 I think.
Re: Canucks News N Notes 24-25
Size and speed, two things woefully missing even if he is a 3-4 line player.

And kills penalties well.
I don't love the fact the Canucks have 3 wingers signed over the next three years to contacts averaging about $3M who are best described as bottom (Hogs, Joshua, O'Connor), but of them all, O'Connor's game seems to have the highest floor because PK, d-zone awareness (from what we've seen small sample quite good), and ++ speed with hustle is valuable whether or not the game is clicking.
