Fuck him- he's a ranger now.
Re: Past Canuck Players
Unfortunate for me because I'll be pulling for him to succeed.
DeLevering since 1999.
Re: Past Canuck Players
I just don’t want to see that 1st end up being a top 5 pick two drafts from now.

Some might say he retired once he signed with the Canucks...Loui Eriksson has retired from the NHL after 16 seasons

Eriksson was an air thief
Miller/Kesler was/were a bully/jackass
Bieksa/Jovo- little slow to process shit
Ohlund/twins-Steady Eddie
Great 8:
Roberto
Matty Quinn
Henrik Danny
Thomas Pavel
Curt Fraser as 8. Nobody fucks with this team.
The tounger fans forget how good Thomas Gradin was. The bullshit he went through. 23 was a legend.

I translated a Swedish interview with Henrik Sedin, who gives his view on the current crop of Swedes in Vancouver:

As always, Vancouver is full of Swedes. Henrik Sedin gives hockeysverige.se an insight into the season and the development of the yellow and blue players in the organisation and some answers about the ambitions of the Sedin twins in the NHL.
Henrik Sedin is one of the biggest hockey names in Vancouver of all time. Among other things, he has won both the Art Ross and the Hart award. In 2000 he and his bro Daniel headed to Vancouver and he is still, 25 years later, part of the organisation.
- Today we spend 80 percent of our time with the Vancouver Canucks and 20 percent with Abbotsford., the farm team, Henrik tells hockeysverige.se and continues:
- Every practice we’re on ice, we’re with the coaches in all meetings and around the team all the time. You could say we’re kind of like coaches, but more like development coaches.
Yet he has no ambition to become an NHL head coach.
- No, that’s not somehing I’ve considered. We’re happy with the roles we have. It’s fun to follow the young players we have, see their journey from Abbotsford up to Vancouver. That’s the role we enjoy the most, being able to help the young players.
The General Manager of the Vancouver organisation, Patrik Allvin is from Sweden and a GM that Henrik Sedin appreciates.
- It’s great fun to work with him. He practices a Swedish leadership style combined with a North American one.
- Great at listening, gathering information and using people the right way. Patrik is one of the reasons we enjoy to stay and work in Vancouver. A great guy to work with.
Sedin about the Swedes: Really impressed by him
The Vancouver Canucks have a number of Swedes in the organisation. Hockeysverige.se asked Henrik Sedin to give his opinion of them.
Elias Pettersson 1
Incredible skills. Can produce points at will. Has had a bit of a tough season. There have been very high expectations following last season and the new contract, but things will turn around for him.
Elias Pettersson 2
Truly a great guy. I can only say good things about him. He is a guy who loves to play hockey and to compete. Very coachable. If people tell him to do something he does it right away and strives to develop. It is well deserved that he has gotten to wet his feet in the NHL this season. He has played well when called up and will go really far.
Nils Åman
Another great guy! Nils is funny in the way he will do the exact same thing whether he is playing in Leksand, Abbotsford or Vancouver. Always the same player. We’re trying to work on the offensive parts of his game. Good at boxplay and when called up to Vancouver he is mostly used on the penalty kill.
Nils Höglander
- Also had a bit of a tough season. Has had a bit of an odd journey in North America. First he got to play a lot. Then he was sent down to Abbotsford. Took new steps there. Had a tremendous season last year. Same as Elias with a new contract and more scrutiny. Hasn’t really succeeded this season, but Nils is the kind of player you love to have on your team.
Marcus Pettersson
- Incredibly impressed by him in the few games I’ve seen him play. I didn’t see much of him in Pittsburgh, but I know the high esteem Patrik holds him in. Very smart player and you immediately see he has a lot of hockey in him. He will be very useful for us.
Jonathan Lekkerimäki
- We have him in Abbotsford now, but he has been called up to the NHL level and scored. He absolutely needs some development, but has a very high hockey IQ. A smart player who wants to develop and push forward, which we appreciate. He also has one of the best shots I’ve seen.
Linus Karlsson
What a journey! He came from Hockeyallsvenskan (the Swedish second tier league) to Skellefteå and then straight to North America. He has been plodding along in Abbotsford, doing everything in his power to get called up and get a shot at the big league. Competitive at a level I almost haven’t seen before. He wants to win every game. He is not afraid and he won’t step aside. Now he’s gotten a shot to move up for the last few weeks and he is doing a great job.

Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.
I'm amazed that so many people choose to be complete twats.

Yup, that's why u gotta luv the Big Zaddy. He can talk the trash, back it up and get under the skin of top opposing players. If u have him on your team, everyone plays a couple notches braver cuz they know he has their back.Topper wrote: ↑Wed Feb 12, 2025 11:02 am This is what Zedorov brought

Won't lie, I would luv to see the Rags & Millzy miss the playoffs and the Nucks make it. It would be a beautiful piece of karma.Blob Mckenzie wrote: ↑Sat Feb 01, 2025 3:31 pm I hope the Rangers lose every game and its the last goal he gets this season.

My "source" if you can even call him that, did let on that perhaps the Sedins are driving the bus more than we are led to believe. HW would be a better person for this stuff, but I hear they get a lot of miles to Abby. That's all I really got. Not much. But it makes the old Ham happy.

Re: Past Canuck Players
They spend a ton of time on player development and have the ear of Allvin. Although they are strong voices on management I don't think they are driving the bus. Its a Swedish conspiracy. Before there was Trump threatening to take over the world there were the Swedes actually doing it.Argay Ham wrote: ↑Wed Feb 12, 2025 10:47 pm My "source" if you can even call him that, did let on that perhaps the Sedins are driving the bus more than we are led to believe. We don't usually refer to Wids as "The Bus". She's a classy broad.
