Also, there is way to much JT is a good teamate/warrior/beast/missing piece for a Cup Contender out there in "where it matters land" that him staying and EP going is the ride I'm rolling with.
This is the Canucks Lever2000. If it can possibly get worse, it will

I refuse your wager however because I mostly spew nonsensical prognostications for fun

Our very own Frank Seravelli.

He's aging like Seravelli. The Dude has spent far too many nights at Antons with his grubby neck scarf on riddled with cheese and ketchup over top of a stained wife beater snapping back a jug of red planning the next bocce ball tournament.

This is the salary capped NHL, how many max contracts run to the end with the original team?

Miller could easily be the #1 center for another couple of years and drop down and be effective in a different way... if his attitude is amenable to that. He could also be moved after those couple of years if the team is not going anywhere and both player and team want to move on.

How many times have we seen older players waive to another team with years left on max contract? How often has original team eaten half the remaining salary to move out player for roster space? Happens all the time.

Within those years, any competent management would be trying to draft/develop and/or acquire a few more top center prospects and replace older players cheaply.

I don't understand this keep the younger guy nonsense. Keep the guy who's impact gives you the best chance to win consistently in a set duration of time (window). PPG in itself means nothing but some false pride for fans as they watch another year without playoffs. A competent management then continues to refill the cupboard with younger/better players.

If the younger gorilla can't lead the clan and take the spot of the older gorilla, he gets banished and has to fuck off elsewhere into the jungle. The NHL circle of life.

That’s why I voted miller goes and all 18 wheels of the season hit the ditch…..Hughes still gets the Norris and then asks for a trade.
Somewhere in NW BC trying (yet again) to trade a(nother) Swede…..

I’ve seen Pierro sipping nespresso’s at Renzullo’s. I don’t know him personally but know many, many, many “you know-wots” (Doc - the monitor’s shiney example of good board behaviour- his go-to derogatory description of Italians) who do.

Not sure, go ask the boys at Big Shots Cafe on Hastings, lol. I’m sure they will respond in kind.

Sign the shiny new toy to the 5th highest salary in the league then admit he can't perform because his feelings are hurt and have been hurting for quite some time.

Yeah, if I was an owner and saw this performance by management, I'd be making some phone calls.
