It seems I need to start looking at myself from an outside perspective as the opinions of Chef are substantially different than those of Chefs opinions of himself.

When I watch Step Brothers I can’t help but think of Chef and Blob. “You can call me Nighthawk” “You can call me Dragon”Carl Yagro wrote: ↑Sun Jan 26, 2025 12:06 pm These two are like the Tkachuks in that awful car commercial they did with their mom where they had to be separated in the minivan.
Look you two, stop touching each other.

So really not much new info. Just clickbait nonsense from yet another insider.Megaterio Llamas wrote: ↑Sun Jan 26, 2025 1:27 pm Rumor mill over heating: https://youtu.be/ZDcspDMvmJQ?si=Q5QbtmUbJ0ZbcGej

From a management perspective…..
If the reason for trading Scooter is because the offers in Miller suck, then I think it is stupid to trade Pettersson if the plan would then to then trade Miller anyways.
Only trade both if you’re doing so because it has to be done. Otherwise you eat the shit and move Miller for less than he’s worth and stay your stated course with Pettersson.

I know I've it mentioned before by I would try changing the coach before I dynamited the whole foundation myself. It might not work but I'd say it's worth a shot. It's easy to do. And you find out definitively whether you have a player problem or not. It's barely two cents worth but there it is.

I literally just finished reading a piece on why Tocchet should not be fired.Megaterio Llamas wrote: ↑Sun Jan 26, 2025 2:25 pmI know I've it mentioned before by I would try changing the coach before I dynamited the whole foundation myself. If they change out the bench boss it will mean that this core will be on their 4th coach in 40 months. At some point the players have to buy-in for good, not just for 60-70 games and then tune out again.

Further to that, I'm not certain but I do believe Tocchet is in the final year of his contract. Or at least the final guaranteed year. There might be a team option.
So it's neat and tidy.

None of these guys have exactly been credentialed hall of fame caliber people though. Let's try something different and pry Mr Aquilini's wallet open and go big game hunting for once. Boudreau was obviously a stop gap to stem the bleeding.Mëds wrote: ↑Sun Jan 26, 2025 2:29 pmI literally just finished reading a piece on why Tocchet should not be fired.Megaterio Llamas wrote: ↑Sun Jan 26, 2025 2:25 pmI know I've it mentioned before by I would try changing the coach before I dynamited the whole foundation myself. And, leaving the previous guys aside, it just feels like the end of the road with Tocchet to me. Or near enough.

If we’re bringing in Q then sure. But I don’t think there are any other big names out there (Babs is big for the wrong reasons).Megaterio Llamas wrote: ↑Sun Jan 26, 2025 2:34 pmNone of these guys have exactly been credentialed hall of fame caliber people though. Gerard Gallant is still out there. No cup but he went to the finals that year in Vegas. Reliable veteran guy. a very likeable guy. Can't think of anyone else who would interest me. Q would be great though, yeah.Mëds wrote: ↑Sun Jan 26, 2025 3:57 pmIf we’re bringing in Q then sure. Couldn’t an argument be made that the Canucks already tried that with moving on from BB and hiring RT?Ronning's Ghost wrote: ↑Sun Jan 26, 2025 8:12 pmThis line of reasoning makes sense to me.Megaterio Llamas wrote: ↑Sun Jan 26, 2025 2:25 pmI know I've it mentioned before by I would try changing the coach before I dynamited the whole foundation myself.
