For me the most concerning play is Demko's...
He's gone from a .918 last season to an .897% save percentage this season and looks lost out there...reminds me of Silvos play this season...
With both Demmer & Silovs struggling to find their forms, I wonder if the loss of the guiding tutelage of I.Clarky is a big reason for their decline?
I mean, both those guys looked like stud backstops last year, Demmer with a Vezina caliber year and Silovs came out of nowhere to almost upset the mighty Oil.
It’s definitely a gong show. This season is basically over - could maybe squeak into the playoffs but that’s not a sure thing, and wouldn’t do anything if they got there.
Need to re-boot the core. If it’s me I trade JT and probably Petey too, likely for slightly younger assets who are already NHL players. Sign some guys with heart and guts because that is definitely missing.
The D has two good players and then a bunch of scrubs. Need 2-3 new guys on the back end, with Willander likely 1 so need another one or two who can actually play against top opposition players.
Goalies I’d either sign Lankinen and trade Demko, or let Demko try and work out the kinks because goal will be the least of our problems.
Get some guys who want to play for this team and play hard, because the group that’s out there now is done.

It’s time, let’s move on already.
Demko is high risk/high reward.
Dialed in and healthy he's a top-5 goaltender.
The alternative is an unsteady top-32 goaltender who plays 20 games per year.
Unfortunately they both cost the same.
If you're rebooting the core there is absolutely zero reason to take that risk on Demko right now.
Somewhere in NW BC trying (yet again) to trade a(nother) Swede…..

All alone in the moonlight
I can dream of the old days
Life was beautiful then
I remember the time I knew what happiness was
Let the memory live again

“If you want to know who your friends are, get a jail sentence” - Charles Bukowski
Bo Horvat - 17 goals 19 assists
JT Miller - 8 goals 25 assists
Horvat goal last night. I’m taken aback by how excited he and his teammates are for the goal. I’m sensing players playing for one another there instead of a room full menopausal cranky Karen’s hating each other in the Canucks dressing room.
Can we swap the big club with the farm team? Coaching and management included:
Consecutive game winning goals for Jonathan Lekkerimäki (14). Erik Brännström with a goal and an assist to extend his point streak to six games (nine points). Aatu Räty collects two assists for his 12th point in six games.
The Abbotsford Canucks are on a seven game heater

I have to think Manny is the coach in waiting - Tocchet seems to have no answers and is tired of this team. I’m not sure his coaching style makes sense for the team that is on the ice, he’s ultra defensive and the players are not. My guess is he will be gone next year and Manny or somebody else steps in.
There is a bit of talent on the farm that’s close to being ready, but without a makeover at the NHL level it won’t be anywhere near enough.
