Did I hear Kenji has been hiding in Yarrow fishing the Vedder river?

We just got spanked 3-0 at home by the .382, minus-31 diff, Nashville Predators.

Sure, it was on a back-to-back and we definitely lost the legs in the latter half of the game, but that was truly ugly.

The sad thing is, it was probably the best the team could do given the current roster.
Somewhere in NW BC trying (yet again) to trade a(nother) Swede…..

I thought we tried our asses off and did about as good as we could. You're not going to win many games without all of your best players.

On a positIve note, thought Breezer and Flying Phil acquited themselves rather well again tonight.

Agreed. It was ugly to watch though all the same.

DeBrusk back on his cold streak - where pucks went to die. He reacted slower than Boeser, just useless. Only forward who looked worse was Hoglander. They should dig up Bill LaForge‘s corpse so he can run those two around the seawall in full gear and build their pride, hustle, and desire.

I mean how much payroll is shelved with Demko, Hughes, Peter, Filip? Then throw in the OEL millstone. 30-35 million? This cap system is way too rigid.

They need to sort this out in the next CBA. A luxury tax system with more teeth than MLB, or some real loosening up of the cap needs to occur. Gotta bounce Bettman and Daly.

Debrusk will be back in another week or 2 don't worry. He's just enjoying a little R&R on-ice sabbatical right now. He is playing exactly how he always does. It's why he signs for contracts that start with 5s...if he was more consistent they would start with 7s or 8s.

What's good is he usually cracks it up come playoffs

Unfortunately for DeBrusk he’s notorious for disappearing for long stretches.

Debrusk is on pace for 34 goals and making 5 million and change. Very odd player to bitch about.

Yeah I agree....unlike some (cough...Joshua...cough) we are garnering anticipated ROI on Jake.

Cackles is also correct with respect to post season results:

27 G in 86 GP in the NHL.

6 in 17 in the A.

11 in 26 in the W.

Pretty much the 25 - 30 goal per 82 GP he has averaged since his first year of junior.

DeBrusk is not the issue here.
DeLevering since 1999.

Jesus Christ I mention how DeBrusk is known to disappear for stretches like I’m making this up and the Karen’s come out of the woodwork and start brow beating. Settle boys n girls, I like DeBrusk.

I guess it's a bit of a Little Dude who cried Wolf thing Chef.

Your posts oft tend to have a touch of negative vibe to them.

1-0 then two empty netters and an outstanding game by Saros. The Canucks gave the effort on the back to back, but yeah, this is a pretty poor NHL team w/o Hughes, Hronek, and Pettersson.

So let’s trade Petey, right?
