The primary goal of this site is to provide mature, meaningful discussion about the Vancouver Canucks. ... cackling air head ...
She might come across that way to you and many others in the the videos we see on the internet and elsewhere, and of course she's acting in a political role now so there's going to be a lot of babbling and avoiding direct questions, but these things are just cherry-picked clips. I find it disturbing that these days people can rush to a summary judgment of someone who they've never met, only observed thru media.
Do you really think that somebody who has several post-secondary degrees and then worked for 27 years in the legal arena in prominent positions is just a an airhead? C'mon.

From what I've read, she's not dumb - but she does have real problems communicating one-on-one. I think a lot of the laughing, etc is a an over the top reaction to try to be more personable. She's the better candidate just on a human level.

Education? Can't say I've seen what it's like in Canada. In general (North America) it's criminally underfunded. Is there something other than basic teaching that you're concerned about? Like teachers pushing an agenda?
Education is criminally underfunded? I paid less for three of my kids to attend parish school than my school district spends per pupil. And I didn’t choose the private school for a worse education.
Maybe my district is the “exception” in its per capita spending. But I am sure my parish school is not.
And of course there is an agenda in public schools; you complain about the agenda in districts that ban porn from their school libraries. But in progressive cities like mine, the agenda is “anti-racism,” “sustainability,” “social-emotional learning,” and other forms of critical theory and Paulo Freire inspired nonsense.
So this weekend had three get out the vote door knockers, and more than a dozen unanswered calls surely from the same.
I answered the first couple door knockers. The second one asked me who I was supporting. I told her, “My ballot’s secret, if I don’t have a yard sign, then I am not telling strangers. But I think voting is so important. Remember that primary election we had in April?”
She looked at me like the question had never crossed her mind.

So it just boils down to the least of the two evils, and as bad as Trump is, Harris and her left wing agenda are much worse.
Agendas are likely more important, but let’s not pretend Harris is a moral superior. She is a usurper; even if Henry Bollingbrook was right to take the crown from mad King Richard II, the stain remained for his lifetime.

It's not about personality at this point. It's a matter of whether this country wants to elect an old man with nothing to lose, and is only in it for the money - or someone who possibly, just maybe might give a shit about the middle class.
I hear Kamala’s from the middle class. Did you hear that?
I remember the census Nazi was staked out at my gate trying to strong arm me into filling out the liberal tax roll when they got into power. It was a war.
Dirty fucking liberals assessed the Canadian people upon taking power exclusively to determine how much blood they can suck out of us.

I hate politicians
Kamala’s gonna let me (well, someone) keep more of their hard earned dollars through a middle class tax cut because she’s from the middle class (I heard).
I’ll let you keep the lunch you brought to school. Vote me criminally underfunded school president!

She is not presidential material. For that matter, neither is Trump, but he's better than Harris. It's going to be a pretty shitty 4 years in the USA no matter who gets in. Let's hope that by next election there are some decent candidates running.

Right on.
That’s good.

Harris and her left wing agenda are much worse.
they would rather surrender the future of civilization in the west rather than see Trump win.
Interesting take. Can either of you tell me how the left wing agenda will destroy western civilization?
You need to get out of Nebraska and look around at our cities for evidence every now and then Cornuck. Western civilization is disintegrating due to the rise (and fall) of all the lefty governments and their destructive globalist agendas
Lefty governments in the USA?!
From a European perspective we tend to think US elections are a choice between Right Wing and Extreme Right Wing.

You guys have been subjected to such extreme left wing nuttery in Sweden thateverything must appear to be right wing
Easy there Cuz. Europe is a great act to follow after all. A collection of 44 countries, totalling roughly 744 million people, that NEED the support of that right and extreme right leaning nation in order to not be totally overrun by Russia…..an economically fragile power totalling roughly 147 million people.
Clearly the European way is the best.
