Not sure if anyone caught it but it has been leaked somehow to some of the media in the last day or so that he reads EVERYTHING written about him online and it's gotten into his noggin. He's definitely dealing with the Joe Paopao confidence thing.

Shit...maybe he's been reading a lot of Mëds's slam posts and it's affecting his game.

That makes Mëds culpable in all this

:scowl:

The funny thing about players like this that deal with their confidence in disarray..they 99% of the time find their jimmyjam and return to form. Especially at 25 or 26.

He'll be back. When though is the $64,000 question

Mëds has been following someone else's lead.

Does that make him the biggest asshole of the bunch, or just the tallest??

I buy this, all these young guys are on their phones all the time just like anyone else their age. If so then he needs to take a page out of Quinn's playbook and intentionally put down his phone and read a fucking book (Faceoff inside the NHL episode)

Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.

I'm amazed that so many people choose to be complete twats.

Chef Boi RD wrote: Sat Oct 19, 2024 7:45 am Most concerning thing for me with Petey is his IQ isn’t separating him from the rest like it used to. He seemed to be a step ahead of everyone on the ice, crafty, cocky and great anticipation. His skating and strength was never a problem before but now is cause his brain ain’t working like it was, I honestly think he’s just his cocky confidence. It’s all between the ears, IMO.
When I was a young drywaller, the weight of a paycheck in my pocket made my tool belt awfully heavy. Heck, I'd even go so far as to say that I did my best work when an advance was on the line, heh. With that in mind, I don't know if I can fully comprehend what it would be like to have signed a contract promising me generational wealth to show up to a job where you're going to get punched in the face. I do believe he will come around and it seems to me that it often takes a year or two for young athletes to get used to having massive paydays. His life hasn't changed THAT much, he still has to get up and go to the rink and he also needs to redefine what it is he is chasing. If it was acknowledgement and recognition, well someone thinks he's great, they just bet the farm on him. Now its up to him to start chasing something else, I am hoping that its a cup before all those squandered paychecks catch up with me.
Watch out for Blobbbee, he loves drywallers. He plied the trade once, dazzled the trowel, known for his level 5 skim. Feathered his mud with the best of them. No stranger to confil

*LOL* Nice.

Except when EP40 gets his confidence back and starts racking up the pts and highlight reel dekes & goals, he'll be our wizard, Mithrandir. :D

Speaking of LoTR, Vinny Desharnais looks like a dwarf when he's out of his hockey gear in civies. Our big towering warrior dwarf defending our home base.

The NHL's top 10 best goalies of the season... so far.

https://www.hockeyfeed.com/nhl-news/the ... aARzXGpBZw

Lankinen getting some luv right now and well deserved. His name is right up there with the likes of J.Oettinger, C.Hellybuck and I.Shesterkin. It'll be tough for him to keep this .941 Sv%, but hopefully he can maintain a high lvl of play for most of season. *knock on wood*

Not sure who to credit with this find, our goaltending guru Ian Clark or the new Finnish goalie coach, but it's a great move for the team.

It'll be a a nice dilemma to have once TD35 comes back. Maybe a nice trade asset @ TDD. :P

I am quite bullish on King Arthurs, but I most admit that we gotta ride the hot hand in Lankinen right now. I know Silovs had an off season injury, so maybe he couldn't practice and work on his game like he wanted to and a reason for his slow and shaky start. Hopefully, he'll get back to 100% sometime soon and we'll see that King Arthurs we saw in the playoffs and IIHF Hockey Championship. Giving him some time in Abby won't hurt too, let him work on his game and get his confidence back.
