Better pace but a 1/2 step slower than the Flames. The scrub forwards had a rough night.
I'm sure to Donny's pleasure, Raty has solidified himself 4C/13th forward depending on Bluger's status. Maybe Suter/Scooter on the wing in Dakota's absence. Eighteen minute of ice time including 7 minute special tems on both the PP and PK. Coaches are really pushing him to see what he can do and he's answering. I'm pleasantly surprised by him.
Juuls is top six, Friedman and Deharnais in a battle. Friedman the known commodity with no upside but Gonchar and Foote have to be creaming themselves over the potential in Deharnais.
Juuls played over 5 minutes of PK time, including over 3minutes in the third. Another player the coaches have been pushing to see what they can do and has answered.
Abby gets great Sushi.
Time to cut the chaffe, get on the ice and battle like it counts.Likely only one forward and one defense decission to make.
Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.
I'm amazed that so many people choose to be complete twats.
I have been impressed with Raty thus far. I can’t say that I felt that way in past years. His skating has improved noticeably. He is improving on F/O. He is getting stronger on right hand draws. He is learning to kill penalties. He is throwing hits. All the things he needed to improve on he has. This is the first camp where I look at him and see an NHL player. Oh, and a great shot. He deserves to be on the team but if it is to play 8 minutes a night vs 18 a night in Abby I won’t be upset for him. He is doing a lot of things right but some time with Maholtra would be good for his defensive growth. And f/o.
On the back end we now see more prospect depth. Kril, Mynio, DPettey, Willander look to be 4 kids who have legit shots at being NHLers, one day, not yet. So we still need to buy development time. I also think McWard and Felton have legit shots. Not sold on Hirose or Woo. But I see promise back there for the first time in ages. Only time will tell.
I hope tomorrow we have a more complete team. We need these next two games to get some chemistry going. I know Miller won’t play until the final game but we need to get 4 lines rolling.
