Of course they're all concerned about another Bryan Bickell scenario.

The coil sign Ryan Stanton. Hasnt played an NHL game since 2015...
The 31-year-old Stanton had two goals and three assists in 36 American Hockey League games with the Ontario Reign last season.
The six-foot-two Stanton has 27 points (four goals, 23 assists) in 120 career NHL games with the Chicago Blackhawks, Washington Capitals and Vancouver Canucks.

Oh yes, Jonathan Toews probably has multiple sclerosis.
Repeat after me Micky:

Hey Chef, what was it Doyle used to say about Stanton?
That he was an equal player to Sbisa.... and other than the massive blunder contract that Elmer gave Luca, he, like Stanton has been making league minimum and trying to get PTO’s ever since. The whole league knew how horrid the guy was, well except one guy that is..... and it’s reflected in his paycheque the last few years. Guys like Sbisa, Connauton, Stanton, Taylor Fedun, Stanton, Roman Polak and about 30 or 40 others are all pretty much interchangeable. They’re all replacement level players.

^Yeahno, that's not it.
Chef?
I may have said he’s a better player. I certainly said he was better bang for the buck than Sbisa, and that’s not even debatable.
It is definitely hilarious Sbisa draws the league minimum instead of the 3.6 million per he was inexplicably signed to in Vancouver. Look for Erik Gudbranson to take a massive haircut on his next deal.

Yeah I guess I should have at least read the damned thing before I posted eh. It does seem like it could be something more serious.

Some might say that... at the time... Pizza Dude was worth every of that contract.
Others might say well that was qualifying offer and we had lots of capspace.
But back on topic, Chef, what was that thing Doyle said about Stanton?
Re Sbisa- Should have let him walk in all honesty. But the blunders of the past with the cap are what they are. Hopefully within two years it’ll be the end of it.
I said Hamonic was a stud in 2012, and he hasn’t let that go as we head into 2021. FWIW Hamonic is a shell of the player he was then. But if there is something else outlandish I said regarding Stanton, I’d like to see it.the onus should be on the Chef to produce some evidence. I had no problem proving a couple long timers wanted nothing to do with drafting Petterson in 2017, the Chef saying so on the morning of the draft. Or does he have full immunity to lie on the board? I mean it’s not like I said Mackinnon was a bum or Tavares was a scrub or Makar, Dobson and Byram are all crap.
