Normal procedure, hopefully it never gets that far... as with most of those.

The agent said they couldn't wait any longer for the Canucks to clear cap so they extended back home. I agree, I think that would be an okay swap if Green would play him on the right side. Depends on the Tanev replacement to a degree.
Missed that news - so do we lose his rights at the end of the season?
We needed to trade those rights years ago when we found out he and his wife hated the city.
I think the only thing they really hated about Vancouver is that it wasn't in Mother Russia.

But by all accounts they'll be headed back over next year (Tree says good things about Van now).

Tree + Pod in 2021-22, book it bro!

Actually, the agent said he couldn't wait for the canucks season to start, because at the time there was no info on when the NHL 21/22 season would start - if it's January, he would be losing 9 months with no income.

Benning: It's almost impossible to shed money. We've seen really good players go on waivers. The business of hockey will be different the next couple of years. We're in a good position. We have money where we can sign Petey, Hughes and Thatcher moving forward

It would have been the smart thing to do. The guy was barely an NHL player when he was here.

If things stay as is we could go into next year looking something like this:

Miller Pettersson Boeser
Pearson Horvat Virtanen
Roussel Gaudette MacEwen
Motte Beagle Sutter

Eriksson Bailey

Hughes Myers
Edler Benn
Juolevi Chatfield

Rafferty

Demko
Holtby

I could handle that lineup for a year standing on my head. I'll be staying on the bandwagon, who's with me?

The forward group and goal actually doesn't look that bad. D needs at least another body or two though.

Of course that's only if no one gets hurt. Well, maybe we can Tonya Harding Loui at training camp and get him on LTIR?

There's still space to bolster the lineup with a Fantenburg and a Leivo. I won't rule it out.

It could actually be kind of a fun ride. Going to be a short one too. Only a sissy couldn't handle it.

For us lifers it's a cakewalk.

I actually expect JV traded for a decent D man, and Josh Leivo re-signed to bolster the top 9.

You say that now, but after a short time i'm positive you would be disappointed in the RS D
We'll burn that bridge when we get to it
