Some rumblings out there that this might be the requested price from teams that would consider absorbing Loui Eriksson’s cap hit.

If they would be taking on the whole cap hit for Loui (and JV) and gave us a decent amount of picks back, I might consider that. Really depends on what we would be getting back in cap relief and picks. I would be assuming no first rounder is coming back our way and we are not taking on another bad contract.

If they give us a 7th for Jake and Loui we are making off like banditstheman wrote: ↑Tue Sep 22, 2020 8:35 amIf they would be taking on the whole cap hit for Loui (and JV) and gave us a decent amount of picks back, I might consider that. If they also took on 100% of the cap hits, yeah perhaps. Would rather have a mid pick, say a 3rd but I get your point. There is an additional cost if they are taking the cap hits off of us. Also read a deal with Taffoli would be done by the end of this week too. Benning waiting to make sure he has him all signed, then pull this 'trade'?The Brown Wizard wrote: ↑Tue Sep 22, 2020 8:51 amIf they give us a 7th for Jake and Loui we are making off like banditstheman wrote: ↑Tue Sep 22, 2020 8:35 amIf they would be taking on the whole cap hit for Loui (and JV) and gave us a decent amount of picks back, I might consider that. My gut says "no", but...if JB is done with Jake, and if Bo's yelling during the pre-season part deux is an indication that Jake might be the weakest link in team unity, then I am a little more open to losing the Big Tuna to dump Little Things.
The Cup is soooooo ours!!!!!!!

Not because I think the deal itself is great but the cap relief is freaking huge.

Canucks Army is suggesting going for RS D-man Dyaln DeMelo
Doesn't exactly get the mojo going, but might be a good upgrade over Stech.

My Jedi powers, I sense a disturbance in the force, I can see a blockbuster deal of Boeser for McAvoy (as a base) - a very fair trade - almost scary for both sides. Both have had there share of injuries, but here's the real kicker remember their 2nd contracts?Strangelove wrote: ↑Tue Sep 22, 2020 9:22 pmFeels like Virtanen for Carlo.Doyle Hargraves wrote: ↑Mon Sep 21, 2020 6:42 pm Boeser and Stecher for Carlo and Debrusk? Tears will be shed by the millennials / gen z folks of boeser being dealt, but the team will have Toffoli locked up, JV given a 2nd chance to redeem himself, Motte promoted to 3rd line. RW Kole Lind might surprise, and Podkolzin waiting in the wings.Elliotte:
The third year of Boeser’s contract has a $7.5M base.
As we’ve seen with McAvoy ($7.3M base)/Werenski, that will be a major factor in the last seasons.
That will be one fucking tough deal to process mentally lol, but McAvoy is a tough SOB and can play big minutes while putting up decent points. Boston must have another plan in place then to get another top 4 RD if they were to do that.
Boston retool mega top 6.
Marchand-Bergy-Pasta
DeBrusk-Krejci-Boeser
Canucks retool top 4.
Hughes-McAvoy
Edler-Myers

McAvoy >>>Boeser. Boston isn’t trading Charlie

Re: Trade rumours & armchair pipe dreams 19-20 Sponsored by SKYO
If it happens, it won't be until next year, when both teams can sign extentions during the season, and long before either has to be given a qualifying offer. Boeser is playing well, but he's really only just playing up to his contract. He hasn't eaned anywhere close to a $7.5 extension yet, so signing him to a contract for his real value in 2021 makes more sense than being stuck paying $7.5

It won’t happen at all unless Vancouver adds something substantial. And even then it makes no sense for Boston to trade their 23 year old stud d man. Would you trade Hughes for Laine?Tciso wrote: ↑Wed Sep 23, 2020 8:19 amIf it happens, it won't be until next year, when both teams can sign extentions during the season, and long before either has to be given a qualifying offer.
