Hey Mick, how about a package deal. Simmonds + Subban (50% retained) for Baer + Stech + 5th overall Juolevi :mex:

If it's Brisebois + Sven or Loui, then we do it without blinking.

I'd be fine with Jimbro making that deal with Brisebois + Future low pick and future considerations with those considerations being Loui Eriksson going to Jersey on July 2nd for a 5th or 6th round pick.
Why would the Devils do that?

Brisebios is a decent prospect. Devils I imagine would be all over this

Some posters don’t realize that Eriksson will need a significant asset attached to him to move his sorry ass. There’s a lot of deadweight contracts on this team that would be hard to move.

A comparable would be Toilet adding that 1st to Marlo to get rid of him but Loui has 2 more years so a 1st +?

Me too. But Benning has said many times they like to let their D prospects stew for awhile in Utica. Like Rafferty, everyone was crying in their beers “why are they not bringing up Rafferty?!?!?” Unbeknownst to the whine crowd they’ve been working on Rafferty’s pivoting, apparently it’s sub standard. Unless you are Hughes special you need to stew in the U under ole Jim’ll Geterdun Benning

Apparently Loui is considering retirement

Yeah who knows? He’s sooooo useless. It’s going to be a heavy price. If you had two compliance buyouts who would you use it on?

Beagle can still play and be a factor so that one is obvious.

Eriksson may go down as the worst UFA signing in history

Andrew Ladd comes to mind.

As does Lucic.

Exactly. Hes in the top 3 if he isnt the winner. Usually you get at least 1 decent season out of this kind of addition....we got the joy of watching him score his first goal for us...on us. Yaaaaaaaay
