Yeah no

Trading Demko to get rid of Erikson is gay
Theres a reason hes only played 1 playoff game in his career that includes winning a hart trophy. Not a team player

Very, VERY hard no

Ya, maybe but we have to do something. Between the Lou NHL extortion and the Err-ox-sin, that's 9, this and two more seasons.
It might seem like louis is playing OK; he got a goal easy goal but has been directly responsible for 2 against.
We need more wiggle room to progress. Don't get me wrong, we are progressing but will need to continue to in order to set up for a seven to eight year run...

The best course of action might be to do nothing at all. Right now the team is heading into an easier stretch after surviving (barely) the November schedule from hell. They should have much more time for rest and recovery. I expect to see a sharper, quicker team moving forward.

Next year they likely will be bringing back the big ruskie which will definitely ease some of the physical toll on that back end. The year after should see both Pod and Hoggy in the lineup so youth will be filtering into the seats of the expiring vets.

My wish list is for a couple golden ticket dmen coming down the pipeline like the Avs have. Man, we're going to be hating that team for at least the next 10 years I'd say

Even if he was a good fit, we don’t have the prospects or picks to entice the Devils.

The Canucks wouldn’t have the cap space to sign him to an extension. And there’s no way the Devils would take Eriksson back.

Stay the course and build with the kids.

I think it's pretty unanimous that everyone here agrees that this unsubstantiated rumour is a bunch of bollocks and adding Hall would be absolutely asinine (Sorry, UK)

In a few years, Petey will be making Matthews money, Hughes will probably make 8-9 minimum. Brock is earning Willom money.

Even if you rid yourself of Loui, Sutter and Beagle, and freed from the other Lui, why would we want to emulate the Leaves model and tie up half your cap on 4 players?

No worries, I’m not in love with the idea, I just threw it out there. because we have been trying every way from Sunday to get rid errixxon. Maybe slipping him in on a block buster might be an interesting conversation. Sort of like maybe the other team won’t notice with all the other goodies coming their way

A physical top 4 dman would be at the top...signing ufa jake muzzin next july perhaps?
Yeah, agreed. A scoring winger like T.Hall would be nice to have, but he's not really what we need. We have a lot of depth up front, but on the backend not so much. I think what we need more than anything is a RS D with a booming shot who can play top 4 minutes (a Sami Salo type would be perfect, just not as injury prone). Muzzin would totally help us more than Hall, but he's a LS D. I have said b4 that if B.Burns is ever available, he's one guy I wouldn't mind blowing the wad on. He checks a lot of boxes in what we need and may be the missing piece to push us into a legit contender.

If we're lucky, maybe the one-eyed Brogan Rafferty will be that guy. Hopefully he continues to develop well in Utica and we'll see closer to the end of the season if he can step in and help us this season.

Taylor Hall - Elias Pettersson - Jake Virtanen

JT Miller - Bo Horvat - Brock Boeser

That top 6 can swing big dicks with the Avs, Knights, Caps and Pens though.

Hawks won a cup quick while Toews/Kane were cheap before they sold high on a lot of great depth to fit in the cap and had to retool, high end forward group is vital.

NJD fans looking for a top LD prospect and goalie.

OJ/Demko+ cap hit.
Can the Canucks just win a Cup within the next 5 years.

Sounds like the Edmonton Oilers for the past decade.

The Oilers did a piss poor job of drafting.

LOL @ Olaf being called a top LD prospect. That package wouldn’t be close to enough to get Hall. And how exactly are the Canucks going to pay him on his next contract? He will be wanting 10 million per over seven years. Even if they could afford it, which they can’t, it would be a stupid signing.

From what I’ve heard about the Devils is that they will retain up to 50 % on Hall this year to help out cap strapped teams and in turn get a better package back. It’s highly doubtful they’d take a hunk of shit like a Eriksson back in any deal.

Stay the course. Some folks can’t handle a rebuild.

That is a very good proposal. Good on ya.
