Aho got 8.5 on an offersheet and Mitch desrves 3 million more minimum is what you are saying? Apparently you are not patying attention to why players get what they do. Mitch is a 26 goal scorer. That's not enough to be paid like 2 elite centres.

His comparable is Aho, Rantanen. Not a veteran goal scoring UFA like Tavares.

Mitch should be happy if he gets 9.5. You think the Leaves will just hand over 12 million per to him because of the lame Matthews argument?

And I think Mitch and his agent need to leave the fantasy offersheet thing and move into reality. They got Dreger to use scare tactics and it did not work. No one is ever giving up 4 1st rounders for Mitch Marner. Book it.
Who said 4 first rounders? Who said $12M?

Sign him to an offer sheet of less than $10.55M and it's only 2 first rounders, 1 second, and 1 third. Unless you don't think Marner is worth that.....in that case who cares.

Position be damned, and to hell with just goals, Marner was responsible in some way for 94 pucks that the Leaves pumped into opposing nets. 33% of Toronto's total offense came off of Marner's stick at some point. Tavares 31%, and Matthews 25%.

But yeah. He's not worth it.

He might sign for less than that, but it won't be for any kind of term.
Somewhere in NW BC trying (yet again) to trade a(nother) Swede…..

Tavares isn’t a winner, his old team sucked until he left town, then they became good
His old team is about to suck hard.

Why would anyone waste their time with 10.5 when they know the leaves will match? And Marner wants more than that anyways.

The top NHL paid players score goals. This is fact. You are not telling me why he should get 11+ per when Aho signed for 8.5.

Should BigTuna change his name to smalltuna after trading Kadri for pending 2020 UFA - Small Fry Barrie

If I’m at a movie theatre - the entire leaves team sitting in front of me would be ideal. Uninterrupted Cinema viewing

AMAZING trade. Kerfoot is almost 5 years younger than Kadri, plays centre, and had as good stats as him last season, and makes 1 million less. LOL Dubas somehow added a younger cheaper option at centre AND an elite puck-moving DMan for only 2.50 this season. LOL

Kerfoot:
GP 78 G 15 A 27 PTS 42 (Age 24, Cap Hit: 3.5)

Kadri:
GP 73 G 16 A 28 PTS 44 (Age 28, cap Hit: 4.5)

Kerfoot is a wet fart.

If the leaves can extend Barrie at under 8 million it’s a decent trade for both clubs. He has too many warts to pry him much more than that. Kadri is three times the player Kerfoot is and has a team friendly cap hit even if he is an idiot. It’s still a good deal for Colorado though either way.

If Myers got 7 million per, Barrie deserves 10.

LOL @ Kadri being 3 times the player. Why don't stats tell us that?

Myers got 6 million. Try to keep up. I’d maybe go to 8 or 8.5 for Barrie but that would be it. Myers is overpaid 500 k to a million but that’s what happens in UFA.

Kadri is a much better all around player than Kerfoot

Kerfoot primarily plays the wing.

Gardiner, Zaitsev, Hainsey and Rosen have been replaced with Barrie, Ceci, and ....

Leaves with $3.765 in cap space. Are allowed to exceed the cap by $8.1 million (10% of the cap). Can't place Horton on LTIR until September.

So now, an offer sheet of anything above $11.865 milion cannot be matched by Dubas.
