Babcock and Dubas not seeing eye to eye in their strained working relationship.
When asked about the speculation, Babcock said, “Whatever people speculate or think, I don’t think that’s the case.” Babcock didn’t shoot down the idea that the two sides might not see eye-to-eye, but there’s not a rift between them and Babcock simply called a matter of a bit of storm hitting every professional relationship. You’d like to say everything perfect but sometimes it just isn’t he explained.

Babcock claimed that any comments he may have made were not directed at any one person. He knows that everyone on the team is trying to improve the depth of the team. “Dubie and my relationship isn’t as good as it’s gonna be four years from now. Mine with Ken Holland wasn’t as good in my first year as my 10th”
Oh well. Just rid rid of Babcock. Keefe is ready to go.

Getting rid of Dumbass is the wise decision. Babcock has every right to be pissed off.

I disagree. Babcock has been BRUTAL this year.
Obsessive line-matching at home (Away numbers are all far better where he can't), horrifically predictable PP, no adjustments in-game, playing guys like Marleau, Hyman and, Hainsey far too much, and not playing his stars enough (Matthews is not in the top 80 for NHL TOI right now).

In 9 months as GM Dubas won the Calder cup, traded for Muzzin, signed the biggest UFA by anyone in at least 12 years, and has his team 6th overall and 3rd in goal diff. Why should someone 9 months on the job be fired for that?

So not having many injuries means everything went perfect?
Yep pretty much, it shows you the capacity of your squad. There aren't any excuses.

Oh right, you didn't draw penalties is your excuse. Lol

BigTuna wrote: Sun Mar 24, 2019 8:07 am You do know Toronto was contacted for permission to speak with...Kyle Dubas 4 times prior to naming him GM.

https://mapleleafshotstove.com/2017/05/ ... avalanche/
(Colorado was about to offer Dubas the GM role and Toronto stopped the process).

https://www.pensionplanpuppets.com/2017 ... leaves-news (Notice Mark Hunter mentioned nowhere)

https://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/nhl/ari ... yle-dubas/ (Coyotees wanted Dubas instead of CHayka)

Ever notice I am the only one on here to show actual facts to back-up my argument?
"Colorado was about to offer Dubas the GM role" - FALSE

Your link says no one knows what role GM Sakic might have offered Dubas

... in fact link makes it clear it most certainly wouldn't have been the GM position.

"Notice Mark Hunter mentioned nowhere" - WTF

Link is speculation by two pundits about who they think Buffalo might approach.

Turned out they were wrong about every single "possible candidate" INCLUDING DUBAS!

Hunter had made it clear he wanted to remain in Ontario (Leaves or Knights)

... so why would they include Hunter in their silly speculation?

"Coyotees wanted Dubas instead of CHayka" - WRONG

Your link doesn't work and no way in hell did they prefer Dumass to Chayka.

So in the end Leaves were contacted just ONCE about Dubas (to be Sakic's errand boy).

You said "4 times" and implied/outright-said those teams were offering him the GM position.

"Ever notice I am the only one on here to show actual facts to back-up my argument?"

6.9 million per William Nylander:

2018-19 Shooting % : 4.8 %

Career avg shooting % : 9.9 %

Not sustainable.

Nylander=22 year-old 1st line stud winger.

I have already proven Virtanen is not in his league. Nylander is scoring at a better rate than Virtanen this year despite missing the 1st two months.

Virtanen blows.

An example of Point a Game pace:

Pettersson - 27 goals 37 assists 64 points 66 games

Not an example of Point a Game pace:

10.2 MILL will - 5 goals 20 assists 25 points - 48 games

Surprising with all that supposed fire power the laffs have how putrid 10.2 mill will’s points are

Don’t mean to interfere with a solid midget wrestling match, but do assists and points not matter anymore?

Not just between you two vertically challenged individuals either. A veteran poster tried to downplay Mats Sundin the other day by only referencing his goal total. It seems like some posters seem to get lovers nuts for goal totals and ignore asssists and points. Not very much experience playing team sports.... is that a good guess?

What are the cap hits for each player?

Are you involved in paying the salaries?

Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.

I'm amazed that so many people choose to be complete twats.
