I think Jimbro is going off the board with our first pick. Ole Brackett and Gradin always got surprises up their sleeves.

Past tense? Liked.... still likes him... or liked him the one time he saw him?

Or...

That worked out great in 2016

Not sure but Madden and Woo, two of Bracketts picks are having stellar seasons

Blob wanted Jack Wise

He was the higher rated pick. I mentioned it once that I would have liked him.

Dude has more than one post trumpeting Wise and Veleno as the best players in their draft year.

Mr Selective Memory Blob doing the Boogaloo again. There was time, a fair bit before the draft, where Wise and Veleno were being touted as the consensus top 2. Unfortunately for Blob those “early on rankings” endeared Wise to Blob. I moved on to Madden, Blob got arm barred by old rankings

I had a grand total of one post where I said I would have preferred Wise. You probably had seen nether play. I admittedly liked the fact that Wise had excellent stats in the USHL. I didn’t bash Madden and I wasn’t devastated that we didn’t pick Wise.

We both know if the Canucks had drafted Wise you’d be saying to cut him some slack because he’s been injured and only dressed for 11 games.

Hughes
Kakko
Podkolzin
Cozens
Byram

Challenging for the top 5

Zegras
Boldy

The rest of the first round a complete crap shoot. Byram will be long gone. Take a chance on Broberg or Krebs
I can see Byram going 3rd oa, teams won't want to miss out on the next Makar, Heiskanen or Quinn Hughes.
Can the Canucks just win a Cup within the next 5 years.

The issue at hand, Man-boobs is we rarely ever see you praising the great Jimbro Benning for “not” making the picks you wanted that ended up being way worse than the one’s he ended up picking - Boeser over Konecny, Pettersson over Glass, Madden over Wise etc. Those picks are game changers! Why couldn’t Gillis do that in 6 drafts?

Yeah the way he is playing right now, would not be surprised if he goes 3rd overall

Uhhh I love the Petterson and Boeser picks. They were great picks.

I take issue when tards say that Virtanen and Juolevi were the best picks when they were chosen. I smack the tards nose with a rolled up newspaper wrapped around a piece of pipe.

Way too soon to call the Madden pick. Is the book written on Wise at 18?
