Even James Mirtle is getting chirpy.
The leaves are now on pace for fewer points than last season...
Scott Wheeler:
Ron Hainsey and Nikita Zaitsev played a combined 43:25 tonight in a game the leaves trailed from 5:01 in the first period onward.

Zach Hyman played 4-7 minutes more than Matthews/Kapanen/Kadri/Johnsson.
Can the Canucks just win a Cup within the next 5 years.

Who would you rather have:

1) the always injured 5’-11” 170 lb Nicolaj “riding shotgun with Laine” Ehlers a terrible playoff performer making - $6 million a year until the end of the 2024-25 season

Or

2) the other terrible playoff performer, suspect in his own end, always Babcocks doghouse, 1 goal 2 assists in 19 games William “riding shotgun with Matthews” NILander making - $7 million a year until the end of the 2023-24 season, making $10 million this season

Or

3) Jake Virtanen making $1.25 million until the of next season
