He says he and his wife wants to get a feel of the place first, before they decide.

They really liked it in Ottawa and are keeping their house there for the time being.

Hey, if he does not extend in San Jose, then returns to Ottawa...
That'd put the deal in a completely different light, eh?
Are your evening television sports shows as melodramatic as ours?
Yikes.

No, this was an interview in Aftonbladet. Tabloid newspaper.
As most tabloids, a tendency toward the dramatic, but it's usually fairly reliable.

And the speculation on a return is my own, but I mean, hey - no extension signed + keeping the house in Ottawa = ??? :|

Not sure why everyone is stunned by the underwhelming return Ottawa received in the Karlsson trade. That was easy to telegraph. No sign and trade guarantees from the Karlsson camp why would a team gut their futures for one year of service from Karlsson?

Considering it was Dorion pulling the trigger it’s little wonder Ottawa got ass rammed. The guy is the worst GM in the league

Apparently, Henrik Zetterberg has been forced to retire from hockey with a degenerative back condition.

Detroit will put him on LTIR.

Sedins, Hossa, Sharp and now Zetterberg. Anyone I'm missing?

Who's next on the list?

(Please, not Bobby Lu)

Apparently JG Pageau is out indefinitely after tearing his achilles tendon during a team fitness session. Good thing Dorion got quantity in the Karlsson trade!

Poor Ottawa. I feel bad for their fans. It has to be Melnyk's bad mojo.

No, we need Bobby Lu on LTIR - its the retirement that will kill us!

Tampa's Jake Dotchin placed on unconditional waivers.
#TBLightning have placed D Jake Dotchin on unconditional waivers for the purpose of terminating his contract for material breach of contract. The team will have no further comment on the matter
elliotte:

Certainly, more will become known as the days go by. But, apparently, TB was extremely unhappy with Dotchin’s conditioning at arrival. We will see how the process plays out
The Shane O'Brien diet?
Can the Canucks just win a Cup within the next 5 years.

I think it's probably worse than that.

Something worse that has a side effect of him ending up out of shape?

He got suspended for all of the 2017 preseason as well

... and was mysteriously benched for most of last season's 2nd half.

Too bad because he had some skills and was a MAJOR ASSHOLE.

Leaves fans hate him for giving Kapanen a concussion (AHL) and taking a run at Matthews knees.

EDIT: Forgot about Dotchin's late-hit/injury on Leaves' Gauthier!

Did Canada elect Dorian to Ottawa?
Over the Internet, you can pretend to be anyone or anything.

I'm amazed that so many people choose to be complete twats.

If Las Vegas wasn’t willing to give up the “stalwart” Cody Glass for the NHL’s best Defenceman, Dorion wasn’t ass rammed by Doug Wilson, he was ass rammed by Karlsson’s desire to test the free market July 1, 2019.

Yeah... no. Dorion got a pile of fluff and dryer lint for a top 5 NHL player. He didn’t get one prime asset. There was no need to trade him now. He would have been better off holding out until the deadline if this was the best offer. This was a terrible trade by a shitty GM.
