His playoffs start soon. Kinda ok with him going to the Frozen Four finals even though I'd love to get an early look at him. I'm ok not burning a year on his ELC. But ok if we do too.
Way to put yourself out there

I know right!

Honestly, I'd love to get an early look at him to see if he looks like he has NHL game. It's just that the business side of things I also get how not having to burn a year on his ELC is also a good thing given where we are in our team development.

But if I HAD to choose one, put myself out there........

I love to see him get some games this year. It makes watching the Canucks fun to follow the kids.

I wouldn't mind seeing him this year earlier, and Brock said it was awesome for his development..

If he is out of the frozen 4, with the situation we are Nim we would be silly not to burn a year and give him the same opportunity

Considering all the youngsters who could be in Utica later this spring, I would much rather see him go as far as possible in the frozen four and go to Utica. I don’t think he would burn any time off his ELC, and go to a team playing with more at stake than the big club.

Kid has chops but I don’t know if he’s as ready for the NHL as Brock was a year ago, and it would be good for him to get experience with the rest of that age group coming in.

Elias Pettersson is the SHL scoring leader with 51 points (21+30), despite having missed a bunch of games due to the WJC.
Three games left to reach Kent "Magic Man" Nilsson's all time record of 54 points.* Quite doable.
The Växjö Lakers are facing Frölunda Indians tonight. We'll see what he can do! 8-)

*Sure, back in the 70's it was just 36 games in a season, so Kent's PPG ratio is through the roof, but still. :drink:

Best season by a junior player in the SHL (GP G A TP PPG):
1. Kent Nilsson (C)............. 1975-1976 Djurgårdens IF__ 36 28 26 54 1.50
2. Elias Pettersson (C/RW).... 2017-2018 Växjö Lakers HC 41 21 30 51 1.24
3. Peter Forsberg (C).......... 1992-1993 MODO Hockey__ 39 23 25 48 1.23
4. Henrik Sedin (C)............ 1999-2000 MODO Hockey__ 50 _9 38 47 0.94
5. Daniel Sedin (LW)........... 1999-2000 MODO Hockey__ 50 16 26 45 0.90
6. Daniel Sedin (LW)........... 1998-1999 MODO Hockey__ 50 21 21 42 0.84
7. Markus Näslund (LW)....... 1991-1992 MODO Hockey__ 39 22 18 40 1.03
8. Nicklas Bäckström (C)...... 2006-2007 Brynäs IF______ 45 12 28 40 0.89
9. Markus Näslund (LW)....... 1992-1993 MODO Hockey__ 39 22 17 39 1.00
10. Thomas Gradin (C)........ 1975-1976 MODO Hockey__ 35 16 23 39 1.11

It's remarkable btw how many Canucks there are in that list...

I thought Patrik Sundstrom was a ppg player as a 19 year old but that was when he was 20. That would have been 8 of the top 11 as Canucks !!

With twelve forwards, six blue-liners and two goalies, I assume that is meant as a line up, but apart from these there's also this lot:

Loui Eriksson
Samuel Påhlsson
Lars Zetterström
Anton Rödin

Anders Eldebrink

Eddie Läck
Anders Nilsson
Joacim Eriksson
