If Kaner is traded here everyone knows it'll be his last chance at redemption, or he can play in the KHL where he can do whatever he wants.

Plus I don't think Murray will get what he wants, no good picks or high end prospects, maybe a contract/roster player and a minor leaguer in return at this point.
Can the Canucks just win a Cup within the next 5 years.

Funny guy,

Sbisa 20% + Zalewski or Gaunce(would be a great return) or Etem or something along those lines.

I would be very pleased if Benning could make that deal. I would go so far as to call it evidence of genius.

Man, I`d like to know what the Sabres would want for Evander.

He is exactly what we need on the ice!

His off ice doucheness is a real hard pill to swallow though as it seem that we are drafting and acquiring really strong character guys.

I'd have no issue with Kane on the team, as long as he is cheap!!! Virtanen will be in Utica and he would be the only guy I'd worry about. Horvat, baerstchi, gudbranson are past the point of being "influenced" by a dickhead, and Hansen, Erickson and the sedins can give him shit and tell him to grow up. This team is full of character they can handle Evander it's just a matter of whether the players wanna put up with him.

Bill Day says, Kane will be directed to the NHL/NHLPA Behavioral Health professionals for evaluation and counseling, if deemed necessary.

You seem very sure about how "all" the players will react!
You must know them very well personally. Impressive!
Hope Virtanen and his people aren't reading this.
Hope the vets aren't listening to how some fans think bringing in a proven unstable element will do what?
Make their job harder? W/E
I don't care if cheap meant we get Kane from Buffalo for a 7th round pick in 2020 and they pick-up 75% of his salary, I still wouldn't do it.
I can't believe how desperate some people are getting.
We have purchased a 30/30 plus guy already.
Why don't we try and do something we haven't done, in a long time; GROW OUR OWN !
It has worked a few times in the past.
Smyll, Linden, who by the way, made the team his first year and almost single handedly took out Calgary in the first round in 88/89.
Bure, The Sedins, Kesler, Burrows, Hansen.....
O.K., maybe Horvat and Virtanen don't have the instant talent some of those did but they sure as hell have as much now as Kesler or Burrows did at that age, even more!
And we want to throw Virtanen down to Utica before camp even starts to open a spot for a guy who many are calling a little prick? Not me!
I could blame some of this reasoning on intense summer heat getting to people, but;
It aint that hot...
I give!
Doesn't mean I'm goin anywhere.....

I'm sure all of you who have held jobs have had the experience of working with asshole primadonna co-workers and probably were overjoyed and celebrated when they left or were fired. I'm sure the Jets lockeroom were all doing backflips when Kane was traded and the Sabre lockeroom would be pretty happy if he were removed. Do you think the Canuck players would be thrilled having him on board? No, I highly doubt it. Nobody likes an asshole co -worker, they do more bad to the team morale and unity than the good they bring in the field. The desire to have Kane here is just ignorant fans who don't value what goes on in the room, which some would argue is more important than what they bring on the ice.
