2/09/2016 - Toronto Maple leaves traded Dion Phaneuf, Matt Frattin, Casey Bailey, Ryan Rupert and Cody Donaghey to the Ottawa Senators for Jared Cowen, Colin Greening, Milan Michalek, Tobias Lindberg and a second-round draft pick in 2017.

6/20/2016 - Anaheim Ducks traded Frederik Andersen to the Toronto Maple leaves for a 2016 first-round pick and 2017 second-round pick.

So basically the Leaves have traded Kessel + Phaneuf + 2nd… for… Andersen + 3rd. :mex:

It'll be interesting to watch Andersen go from behind one of the best defensive units to behind the worst.

Yet another promised rebuild cut short at the centre of the universe...
Oh but it gets even better if u follow the pick/trade lineage:

“This is the second time in the last five years Murray has traded for the leaves’ pick at No. 30. In 2011, Anaheim gave Toronto the No. 22 selection for No. 30 and No. 39. The leaves took winger Tyler Biggs, who has never played a game in the NHL and was traded to the Penguins in last summer’s Kessel deal. The Ducks selected Rickard Rakell at No. 30 and Gibson at No. 39, two players who have become important pieces in their success."

LOL.

Normally I am rather averse to any + all forms of trolling... but in this case I'll make an exception.

I despise Austin Matthews.

Doubtful.

As an aside I noticed most Leafers are extremely miffed with the Leaves picks (other than AM).

A lot of weird off-the-board shit going on there no?

NONE of the players Leaf fans were hoping for got drafted by the Leaves (other than AM).

While reading this article about the Cubs, I couldn't help but think of the Leaves...

Crunching 25 years of data, from 1966 to 1990, Porter found that the teams most likely to win were not those with the loyalist fan bases, but those with the ficklest.

Todd,

I want those 2 minutes of my life back. I can't believe I listened to as much of that shit drivel as I did..

I now remember why I didn't read that fat goof when he posted here.

Pratt deserves to be an eastern bag licking, slough water sucking swamp donkey, and how he is on the air is a mystery.

Lol only a closet Leaf fan would turn to a 4-month-old Pratt-rant at a time like this!

Pratt is most definitely the least respected hockey pundit in all Canuckdom...

BTW did you ever actually admit to being a closet Leafer.... Todd? :mex:

*LOL* He used to post here? I always thought it was a guy mimicing him, like Farhan Lalji and Pauser, etc.

Pratt was Pratt.
Farhan wasn't Farhan.
I never found out (or don't remember) who Mediaman was.. But I think he verified his credentials with Brian back in the day.. Not sure whatever happened to him.
