I don't know about that. I think that with the new CBA and the reduced cap some of these UFA's will be willing to sign for less than one might think. So players that would probably have gotten $5M might be signing short-term deals in the $3.5M-$4M range. This is just speculation on my part, obviously, but it does make for a less painful rebuild. Besides, if all that ownership said is make the playoffs, with a handful of UFA signings, that's easier than it might sound. I mean they just have to finish in the top 8, and who cares if they get bounced in round 1.....they're rebuilding.
