Re: Ownership and Management (These fuckin' guys™)

Watching the exit interviews, a lot of players were talking about how this team lacked discipline, work ethic, professionalism etc. Looks like the rot is deeper than just EP40. Put the exit interviews in context of the guys being interviewed. 3rd liners to tweeners only one top line player, and a ...

Re: Just Not ready

I wouldn’t think so. The average family contributes less than $7000 toward their health care costs annually. Which is less than 15% of the median income. (And at that median household income, if you have enough kids, you might qualify for subsidy). And for that, you are getting some of the best d ...

Re: Ownership and Management (These fuckin' guys™)

Normally at this time of year I find Topper's clip notes sufficient and don't watch the season end media stuff.....

This year I feel like I need to watch it for the sheer morose entertainment value.

Re: Just Not ready

Have private sector wages kept pace with tax increases that are passed to consumers? What happens when public sector is removed. We know the public sector has had a massive hiring in the past several years (latest report is near 1 million federal employees added in the past 10 years), and the union ...

I think they should hire Blobcat.

Flats of Old Milwaukee and pizza dip stained couches in the dressing room.

Re: GDT: Canucks @ Oilers Apr 16/26 @ 6PM PST SN

I think the Oil can still finish in four different spots based on tomorrows games. P1 P2 WC1 WC2 They need a win and Vegas loss (Seattle) to win the division for the first time in forever..... Not sure they're mailng anything in... We will see. Vegas locked up the division. Kings have Calgary and ...

Re: GDT: Canucks @ Oilers Apr 16/26 @ 6PM PST SN

I would like them to finish strong with a win. Nothing to play for, nothing to lose. Bang up the Oilers a bit if they can. Injuring McDavid and Bouchard in game 82 would almost redeem the entire season. With Draisaitl not expected to be ready until mid-to-late first round, I wonder if they sit ...

Re: Canucks Young Guns

I mean Kippersoff was had for a 2nd round pick wasn't he? The one Burke wouldn't pay to land so Calgary traded for him. Point is there are always ways to land goalies. There are some FA NCAA goalies on the market as well. For sure if the goalie is seen as a franchise player and you have a chance to ...

Re: The too early Stanley Cup 2026 Playoff Thread

Yeah, the Wild can bow out in the 1st round. Hope they get run through in 4. Colorado looks like the team to beat. Ottawa and Montreal won’t go too far, but they’ll be entertaining to watch. Not sure about that. Montreal's roster doesn't have much for playoff experience, but they are young, fast, an ...

Cornuck, I applaud you for an impassioned post for a meaningless win. I could care less one way or another, but it was your second to last paragraph that struck a chord. I want to see a win mostly because some of these kids deserve to feel it. And I agree there appears to be a subtle shift in ...

Re: The too early Stanley Cup 2026 Playoff Thread

The lack of posters wanting to see the Wild fail is concerning me. Mixed messaging. I think some of us would like to see Quinn do well but recognize that draft position is more important and the Wild bouncing out first is the best thing for us in June. Others think that failing to hate on the Wild ...
