And Skyo just quoted Panotta: "Told that a Schmidt trade is still in place".Andy Strickland
@andystrickland
Can confirm Alex Pietrangelo and #Vegasborn are indeed working towards completing a contract.

It's like I said, this is how teams up against the cap sign big UFAs.
Pull the trigger on a deal on the table.
All the reporters on twitter trying to be first breaking these news tidbits.
Hearing Nate Schmidt will be traded to the Florida Panthers to create the necessary space to sign Alex Pietrangelo.

I know you're getting really old there Carl Yagro, anyways there is this thing called twitter where all these reporters leak out information, hey it's in real time! fascinating I know right? ...but you can still tune into your 6pm news spot on coloured or black and white tv to watch after.
Can the Canucks just win a Cup within the next 5 years.

I'm just not a social media guy... even if I was a young buck like yourself, Skyo.
Just find Twitter a cesspool of the worst kind of humans. Guess I'll wait for 5 minutes of Squire Barnes to get my news

Taylor Hall's on his 4th team. Do winning teams not want him?
Edmonton - Have missed the playoffs 12 of the last 14 years
New Jersey - Have missed the playoffs 7 of the last 8 years
Arizona - Have missed the playoffs 7 of the last 8 years
Buffalo - Have missed the playoffs 9 straight years
Obviously he's not the reason, he's just unfortunate in having played on teams going through tough stretches before and after his arrival, but it appears he's not part of the solution either. Suffice to say, after finally making the playoffs ending a 4 year run of missing them, and missing 5 of 6 years, I sincerely hope Taylor Hall never plays for the Vancouver Canucks.

Hall bringing his patented losing formula whether he goes to a losing culture. Great combination. Poor Eichel. Is he damaged yet?Curmudgeon wrote: ↑Sun Oct 11, 2020 5:07 pm Taylor Hall's on his 4th team. Do winning teams not want him?

Listen Doc, I love SKYO. Just giving him the gearsStrangelove wrote: ↑Sun Oct 11, 2020 4:45 pmIn fairness to Skyo, reports indicated Schmidt was being dealt to Florida.
Then the reports changed... "Wait, no, NOT Florida".
Skyo is just giving us the latest reports.

LOL he’s a genius according to some mouth breathers. On this particular board Poor Old Elmer takes very few lumps. Gesus Christ, now I’ve heard it all.Carl Yagro wrote: ↑Sun Oct 11, 2020 4:10 pm Interesting, HW... I don't think JB can ever win in this market. He acts decisively right away -> He's too hasty. Not a shot against you Mëds. I agree with everything... except the Stecher part. Goodbye Runt.

Until he gets a few more actual NHL d men he will eat some lumps. It’s common sense. I don’t give a fuck if Stecher, Fantenberg and Tanev leave, but he needs three D men not 1 as I’ve seen suggested. He has his work cut out for him.

He needs ahl dmen, and one top 4 if he wants the team to improve from last year. I’m guessing he won’t be after ahl dmen seeing as the ahl season is most likely cancelled.Doyle Hargraves wrote: ↑Sun Oct 11, 2020 7:29 pmLOL he’s a genius according to some mouth breathers. Re: Around the league (signings, RFAs injuries)
Calm down Blob. Nobody is saying that we should just call it a day because we have better replacements on the club and in the system for Tanev and Stecher.
It's clear that even with these two guys, our D was still mediocre to bad for a team considering making playoffs every year. So, it seems like a calculated move to let them go. To move forward and be yearly contenders, we need better RHD.
It looks like JB was in talks trying to try to improve. Tanev wanted term and Stecher didn't want to wait and took another deal.
Now he's got his job cut out for him because we need at least a couple of better RHD. I don't know how he'll pull this off, but I'll be patient. If he goes into the season with Myers, Benn and Rafferty, I'll be the first one to join HFBoards and be an MS lackey.
