So, who do the Canucks acquire for the 15th OA pick?

If rumors of management trading down are true, I'll throw a dart at Malcolm Spence or Jack Nesbitt.

I'm going with either Lynden Lakovic or Carter Bear

I'd prefer the 6'4 Lakovic, but we'll likely end up with Bear.

Rumour that NYI's are trading Noah Dobson to MTL for the 16th and 17th OA pick and prospect.

ESPN Mock draft:
15. Vancouver Canucks
Braeden Cootes, F, Seattle (WHL)

In what is probably the worst-kept secret in the hockey world, Vancouver is after a center. The Canucks took Cootes to dinner at the combine, have scouted him heavily throughout the season and were very impressed by how he handled himself throughout the combine process. Jack Nesbitt could find himself here because the Canucks love their centers with size, but Cootes and Cole Reschny have higher ceilings.

Cootes should become a middle-six center with reliable two-way ability, excellent off-puck instincts and produce 55 to 65 points each season. If Aitcheson is available, they might not be able to resist the big, menacing defenseman.

@Chef Shane Malloy was on D&D, and I think he's been reading your posts re CHL-NCAA.

Yep. Cootes it is.

I wouldn't be surprised if Allvin winds up drafting Milton Gastrin, if he doesn't trade the pick...

If he does at 15 then we'll know his Swede bias is a problem

I would reserve judgment. We would have said the same thing about EPD.

He was drafted 80th OA which was right around where he was projected
Taking Gastrin at 15th is a stretch imo, but hey, if they do I hope it works out.

I meant we wouldn't complain if we had taken him at 15, He's better than the kid we did take there. I'm as guilty as anyone when it comes to talking about Allvin's Swedish bias, but is it bias? It's probably just that he has an advantage over other GMs in that area.

There's a few sleepers in that '22 draft (as there is in every draft)
Hutson at 62nd, Poitras at 54th and Mancini at 159th

Wonderful story of resiliency there.
