There is word that one of next year’s RFAs — Clayton Keller — is closing in on an 8-year extension with ARIZ.

AAV is in the $7.15M range.
SL would love that for Boeser.
Count me in.
Think I suggested something along those lines.
UMMMM.

Boeser >>>> > Keller
Yep, if Keller wasn’t buying ufa years, he’d be a 4-5 million x 4 years.

But its 100% that Boeser is the far greater asset

I would rather have Boeser. That said Clayton Keller is a pretty good player. I don’t think the gap is huge between the two. I’d put another American, Kyle Connor in the same conversation.

Id argue that

Boeser pre-injury was dangling like Matthews.

Keller was struggling to stay in the coyotes top 6

He’s led the Coyotes in scoring in his first two seasons. He plays 18 min a night. When was he struggling to play in their top six? The problem for him is he doesn’t have many skilled forwards to play with.

As I said I would rather have Boeser but the gap between the two isn’t massive.

He went like 25 games without a goal and shit. There were some unhappy people in that organization if i recall

Marleau won't return to Sharks this season: report;

Sad story... :( still trying to find a place to play.
Even at his age he'd contribute more than an Eriksson.

Kids are inconsistent. Petterson had some ugly spells of play last season.

Fuck man...Keller is a 14 goal scorer who hasnt missed an NHL game (doesnt engage)

Boeser is a 1st team allstar calibre winger who has put up 25+ goals over 60-70 games twice while rehabbing from a career threatening injury.

Theres no comparison other than they both play hockey

Keller- Cliff Ronning

Boeser- Pavel Bure

Did you switch from weed to rock? :mex:

Hargraves is willing to burn. Is the Brown Wizard willing to learn?

Keller career stats- 37 goals in 167 games while never missing a game with injury

Boeser career stats- 59 goals in 140 games while rehabbing that devastating injury

Not sure where you're going eith that except to my Boeser to Pavel comparison...but that was more for reference

.
Keller's new contract does not start til next season/20-21.
To me; That's good business. 0 Pressure.

I wish ta hell we'd done the same. Simplifies things. I cut a bit of a break to some teams up against it for the league
f**king up the salary cap projection, though not muck; always be prepared.

To succinctly address the who's better poser, Boeser is a more valuable player them Keller.

I want to be GM for a day, Damn...

Sorry GM Micky, but you think Boeser would have signed an 8 year extension while he was recovering from a broken back?

It was never gonna happen, and for very good reasons the contract negotiation had to be put off to this summer. Why would Benning commit to someone who may never play hockey at an elite level again, and why would Boeser commit when his value is low due to a horrible injury?
