Isn't Dinesh a criminal himself?
Yes he is but if you look into you find that A) He produces anti-establishment media that puts him in their crosshairs, and B) Nobody in history has ever been charged for what he was charged for in his position. Giving a little too much money ($10K when I think the limit was $2K?) to a support a friend in politics.
Do you honestly think trump is an unknown quantity? You don't think we know what his values are? You think we don't know what he's all about?
No we don't know what the Donald will do in the realm of politics.
I'm not a fan of Hillary - but if you want to compare 'criminal' records.

trump's been sued 1300 times. Just the kind of guy you want running a powerful country.
(the latest case? He stiffed a painted $35,000 of a $200,000 project - he lost.)
One of the richest people in the world has been sued many times. Go figure. You compare *this* to the crimes of Hillary?
As for Clinton, she has a lot of baggage, but as far as I know, she hasn't been convicted of anything.
She's an establishment representative ... she is literally getting away with murder. Anyone else would have been arrested by now.

I don't know what the Trump will be like once he's POTUS (I believe he will be) but Hillary would bring war.
trump is a clown and nothing more. He has no business being in the white house - and even he knows it.
He may be a clown, but he's not a criminal and why don't you point out that Hillary has no business being in the white house?
If there was an alternative party, as you and probably countless millions would love to see, can you think of a recognizable name to lead it?
No rush, take your time, it's a killer question.
I'm going to give it some thought and see if I can think of anyone.
Oh ya, they have to be alive....
Yeah, Ron Paul and the Libertarian party.
Globalization means having to do more with less for the average schmuck like me.
I agree. It also means reduced liberty and diversity.
However, I deeply object to those who think Donald is going to fix it.
He doesn't have to fix it. He only has to set the stage for the kind of anti-establishment change that is so needed for humanity. Do you honestly think Hillary could fix anything?
Let's review a bit. He is going to bomb the shit out of ISIS. Cue the applause from the hick dumbasses.
How do you propose ISIS be dealt with?
He is going to make America safe again. The crime in America is at a record low. Cue the applause from the hicks.
I don't like the idea of removing liberty in the name of security in general. But I think he's referring to the open borders, globalization and the muslim take-overs that are happening around the world. The acts of terror.
He is going to make you rich or at least able to afford your lost toys. Cue...
When did he ever say THAT?
He is going to build a great wall
Illegal immigration should be stopped. Don't you agree?
He is going to deport 11 million people
Who can apply to come right back again through legal avenues and proper screening. You disagree and think the illegals should get a free pass? The many people who have legally immigrated to America are wondering why these floods of illegals are permitted when they had to go through the full screening process themselves.
For anyone on this board who supports him for any other reason than wanting to bring on the revolution faster, do us a favour and remove yourself from the genetic pool. As you can see by Trump's support there are enough dumb asses in the world without you taking up space.
Typical condescending crap.
I would have preferred Biden or...
I'm no fan of Biden : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OrcgNf1ze9M
If you're expecting a quick fix, then it isn't going to happen. I've been down here 25 years and there's been no progress, only a regression as the dinosaurs flail about in their death throes.

I don't see anyone implying she should be at home baking cookies + cupcakes!

:look:

Admit it Berry, you hate the Donald only because he wears a hairpiece...

And this is your argument that people should vote for him? OK...

He offered the responsibility of foreign and domestic policy decisions to his VP, while he concentrates on "making America great again". Full stop, that's all you need to know. This man is trying to use his name as a brand, like he always does, but this time for a presidential run, in much the same way it's normally licensed out to hotels and casinos. At what point do you separate the persona from his actions? I don't even know if he's honestly racist or if that's just an act to rally his base, I suspect the later.

I have no idea what he would do if he was elected into office. In no way would that make me want to vote for him.

In the absence of any kind of sarcastic or joking text or emoticon, I have to suppose you really believe that.

I was going to spend more time discussing the U.S. election with you, but you have just by this posting made it clear that it would be a waste of time, so thanks for the heads up.

No, not really. Trump has lots of good talking points. Hillary has a track record of harm. Why not ask the Bernie supporters what they think of being played by her corruption as it's recently come out via wikileaks. I would say I'm more against Hillary and the establishment than I am for Trump and so are many others. If you do some research you'll notice I'm not alone in my stance. I think Trump is a less horrible result to another Clinton and the Donald might even do some good.

The conspiracy topics were an (obviously failed) attempt to bring a little light-heartedness to the discussion but now I'm an idiot and am wasting your time apparently. I'll be on my way then. Best of luck to you all.

I can agree with you up until you say "the Donald might even do some good."

As mentioned above, this whole exercise is about his expanding his brand. That's really all he has. If he had some basic understanding of how the world works, he could at least stay neutral and coast for 4 years. Instead, you have a person running the world's largest military that doesn't understand shades of grey. It's win or lose with him. Period.

He doesn't understand how complex world of finance works (not many people do, myself included), and he would not have the foresight to see how a policy could affect the country (and the world) down the road. His idea of a good deal is to not pay pay people, get sued and hope his lawyers win. His idea of negotiating is to bully the other side until they give in.

Add in his new found policies on social issues and he could undo some of the progress that's been made for gays, immigrants, voter's rights, women's rights, etc - not because he believes in it, but because he'll be working to get re-elected from day 1.

I could go on and on, but in the end it seems you think a person with no knowledge and no interest in learning can run the most powerful country in the world. Likewise, you won't convince me he's a valid choice.

As for Clinton, as corrupt or evil as anyone thinks she is, she at least has the knowledge to not destroy the country. I hope she learned from her Libya experiment - we'll have to see. Like I said, I'm not a fan, but if I was going to vote and bet the future of the country - I'd take a deep breath, sigh and go with her. The third party this year actually has a chance of swaying the election for once.

As a side note, I think a majority of the people don't care that she's a woman. She's transcended that stereotype - people will either like her for her experience or hate her for her values. It's not that she's a woman, they're just done with Clintons and their baggage.

I guess you're talking about Syrian chemical weapons? It was a tough call either way, I read this article a while ago and I think explains it fairly well. Attacking Syria would not have helped, and likely had a lot worse blowback. Rather than trying to blow up chemical weapons, he negotiated to have them removed.

John Kerry today expresses no patience for those who argue, as he himself once did, that Obama should have bombed Assad-regime sites in order to buttress America’s deterrent capability. “You’d still have the weapons there, and you’d probably be fighting isil” for control of the weapons

I would absolutely vote for the Donald if I had a vote. His destruction of Rosie O Donnell is one of the funniest things I have ever heard. He obliterated that fat cunt.

Awesome reason to put him in charge of the most economically and militarily powerful country in the world! :D

I think much of the West is fascinated by the lack of separation between church and state in the US. It's disturbing, but fascinating, and more than a little ironic.

This, and this alone, is why I am amazed that the Donald got the nomination in the first place. Most of the world thought Bush Jr was a farce. Apparently we were only being prepared for what was to come a decade later.

In other news, it's interesting that they've let Hinckley out a week after trump gets the nomination.
