Not understanding the lashing out. The GM himself has said ALL of the top players need to step up. He has also (gently) criticized boy wonder to the media, saying the same thing we've been for months... he's not performing to his contract status. He could and should be a #1 center... meaning management doesn't think he is. THEY don't even think he is right now. Literally dropped to 4th line status after the ASG.

The other guy is almost back to PPG. Isn't that some kind of gold standard around here?

The truth is, as we've been saying, is lack of NHL defensive depth, an over-reliance by the team on Hughes and now we see how mediocre this team really is. No system by the coaches is going to change that. It's up to management to address this travesty before they completely drop out of the wildcard and cost the owner postseason revenue.
