Of course the need of oil will be reduced overtime. It’s part of technological innovation but to think anything major will happen by 2030 is ridiculous. I’m not a climate change denier but things don’t change that quickly especially for something so critical.

Where do people think money for healthcare and education and everything else we all want comes from? What will happen to Canada if oil was turned off tomorrow? This country would collapse and all the cry baby experts would be saying they didn’t know.

I don’t know how much of BC revenue comes from mining or resources but it’s not enough. We are running huge deficits for many reasons but a big one is the time it takes to get approvals. I don’t know how the government gets revenue say from a mine, Topps can provide but it would go along way to help in this province on different issues.

In the past year I heard university professor on CBC about old growth logging. She said we need to stop it now and for jobs the loggers can work in food services or film industry. How fucking clueless was she to think loggers would make the same money and benefits working as a line cook.

Ask the Greens how we can support citizens in their world?

The likelihood of all countries reaching net-zero by 2050 is extremely remote. Fuck, even with crippling environmental policies from our federal government, we have not reached any of their short term goals. What do you think the chances of many governments that are less committed to climate change policies, actually reach their goals. You're grasping at straws Chef. Then again, you and I and most of the posters on these boards either won't be around to see what happens in 2050 or will be drooling in wheel chairs in some old folks home completely oblivious to what's going on.

Yeah no that's total lefty rubbish
(Bloomberg) -- OPEC doubled down on forecasts that global oil demand will keep growing to the middle of the century, an outlier view that scientists say would lead to climate catastrophe.

World oil consumption is set to increase by 17.9 million barrels a day, or roughly 18%, to 120.1 million per day by 2050, the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries said in its annual long-term outlook. It raised estimates covering the next two decades from last year’s report.

Personally, I think of all the cast members in Sling Blade, Blobbee is most like Morris. Take a gander at this scene, best scene in the movie:

No

But if I were to find Topper in the Sling Blade cast, Monty Johnson would be he.

Almost there - just add Saskatchewan to the USA side.
