And a good one is worth as many wins.

JQ for a long time was among the best. I'd say THE best.

But the advantage of being ahead of your time is because other teams haven't figured out how to counter it, how to emulate it, or both. They have now. So unless JQ has something new up his sleeve, then his value is simply being a good coach and player manager. And he gives the team more credibility, which will be attractive to UFAs. Consider this signing an opening offer to Panarin.

Rumours that Linden is being considered for the now vacant Team President job in NYR. Boy oh boy this would not sit well with the GillisBros.

Do you think they are legit?

Last week Kypreos and Friedman reported that Ottawa offered Linden the president job and he said no

True, but he would be working for Melnyk. Can you blame him??

Take Frankie A., make him a bigger asshole and a cheapskate, and you have Melnyk. Only the desperate would take on that job. Linden doesn’t strike me as desperate.

bobmac sayin' Mclellan to coach LA.

Bob McKenzie:
"Todd McLellan is no longer a consideration to be the head coach in BUF. The Sabres identified McLellan as a candidate and had some dialogue this week but an offer/deal was never formalized/finalized.

The expectation is McLellan may be the next head coach in LA."

Ryan Rishaug:
Oilers update on McDavid gives zero information on what the injury is or his recovery time. Kinda weird.

“The Edmonton Oilers medical staff, in collaboration with top orthopedic specialists, have determined a rehabilitation protocol for Connor which will begin immediately”
