47 % approve of his job so far, 37 % very strongly approve of it, while 51 % disapprove, 40 % very strongly.
And it basically follows party lines. 86 % of republicans approve of his job while only 10 % of democrats do so.

I like to hear how UW thinks this will all play out.
If I understand the workings of US government correctly, ultimately many of the executive orders will be stopped by the judicial branch because they conflict with expenditures approved by Congress. For example, disbanding the CFPB. If Trump wants these actions to go through, he will need to ask Congress to pass a bill. Trump's powers are actually very limited, mainly foreign affairs and vetoing bills approved by Congress.
The concern from the left is, who will enforce the Court's orders? Vance has recently intimated that the courts cannot limit executive power (yeah I know that's not the exact wording Vance used, which is where the left is wrong), but it is a concern as ultimately it will be the AG's responsibility to enforce the Court's orders, and the AG is appointed by Trump. This is the problem with American government, much of it is procedure and tradition and not codified into law. All of that is now being tested. This also applies to the issues that brought us to the point such as weaponization of government departments.

See, this is the thing - republicans currently have the white house, the house & senate, and the supreme court. They have the 'potential' to push through pretty much any laws they want. For some reason (trump's ego?) they have decided to rule via executive orders. I'm guessing they have the 'better to ask for forgiveness rather than permission' mindset, and since the government (taxpayers) are paying the lawyers to defend their unlawful acts, then they don't care. Yes, they have the Supreme Court, but most of these executive orders are such clear violations of the constitution that the lower courts, even Republican-leaning judges, are routinely dismissing them. Things like canceling birthright citizenship are not even going to make it to the Supreme Court. There's not an argument worth consideration at present.
Trump thinks he can run the country like a CEO, but government doesn't work like that. You need cooperation, consensus, give and take, even within your own party. He doesn't want to put in the work. It's the same mistake he made in his first term.

The Supreme Court, while right leaning, has more literalists than those who believe the Constitution is a living document open to interpretation as the times change. Their record leans toward applying Founder's principles to modern issues.
