Sending PDG down makes total sense. He slides thru when every team is waiving players. And now, he can be called up any time including short stints to backfill injuries. He's better off in the minors than taking the 14th forward spot. Plus, kids like Raty, Bains and Aman still have upside. Toss in PDG's guaranteed $500k in the AHL, and he is being treated fairly too.

Imo, PDG's biggest value is he knows our system, amd we know him. On another team, he's potentially a liability, as his skill doesn't overshadow his ignorance of their system and style.

BTW, I am "rooting for Raty". Bo for Hronek was good. Bo for Hronek and a 2nd line center would be even better.

Agreed, they never pan out, or rarely do. It’s a tease. Makes me think of Anton-Reese, all the the NHL teams were drooling over this guy when he became a college UFA. Waste of time.

The Horvat trade was a trade that worked out for both teams. Good RS defenders like Hronek is probably the most expensive and hardest asset to acquire. The Horvat trade helped in making Hronek possible, I look at Raty and hys potential as a bonus to that trade and if he pans out we obviously win the trade. But Horvat is doing good on Long Island, both clubs are happy

The Horvat trade helped in making Hronek possible, I look at Raty and hys potential as a bonus to that trade and if he pans out we obviously win the trade. Bo does 2 things well...he wins draws and flips in pucks from the bumper with a quick pinball flipper shot.

Bo has his limitations and yes he’s no JT. He’s not on my Team Canada. Plus he crashes on shifts early and plays more like a winger, not a true set up guy giving his wingers beautiful feeds.
