Firebirds goalie Nikke Kokko loses he puck in his crease, and an alert Phil DiGiuseppe deposits it behind the goaltender to get the Canucks on the board.

Canucks are buzzing now and Nate Smith wraps it around the net and past Kokko and it's 3-2 still early in the second period.

Jett Woo left the game early in the first period after getting hit from behind with Juhjar Khaira fighting the hitter.

Coachella with late pressure hitting both goalposts behind Tolopilo and forcing the Abby D to make some big shot blocks.

3-2 in favor of the Firebirds after two periods.

About four minutes into OT, Tolopilo has the puck on his stick behind the net and kind of freezes. He is checked by a Firebird, who centers it, and it's deposited right into the vacated Abboitsford net.

Final score: Coachella Valley 5, Abbotsford 4.

The teams head to Abby now to close out the series. Let's hope for good news on the Woo and Raty injury front; key players who left the game tonight.
