No, I think one of Pedan or Larsen (maybe both) winds up on waivers, maybe a UFA gets brought in for a camp battle. Tyamkin is this years' Virtanen, his spot is penned in already.

Benning has invested a couple of years in Pedan's development. He was also a player other GMs bring up in trades. No way he gets waived. Traded? Perhaps if there is a hockey deal there but not waived.

No one has officially (or unofficially or fish oily 'Hi' Rats! ) said Hammer is not back.....he would be a great stable teaching vet back here with Tryamkin & Pedan.

I'd rather they try and find a buyer for Edler and Sbisa, sign Yandle
If Benning can find a new home for Miller and Burrows, combined with the money they are going to save with Vrbata, Prust, Weber, Vey, Bartowski, he'll have more than enough to go hard after Stamkos and Lucic.
