Friedman is the best insider in the league next to Mckenzie.

Considering what Elmer has paid out in player contracts for inferior players over the past few seasons, I have little doubt he’d have paid the 5.35 schmill to Backlund and likely more.

Yes Blobbers, we know you’re going to choose to believe the worst about Lord Benning

… whether it springs from your imagination, that of others, or some kind of combo.

Friedman has turned TMZ now, he doesn't speak much on insider info anymore, it's more conjecture.

For what it’s worth I wouldn’t like a Backlund signing any more than I liked the Sutter trade or signing. For a team in the infancy of a rebuild neither player at those bloated dollars makes any sense. You could get a better bang for the buck from a Brad Richardson type player at a fraction of the cost.

Sure he has. I guess Eklund is a good source for you. :)

The rat strikes again. How long before the NHL actually sends this guy a real message.

I would suspend him for the remainder of the season and the first round of the playoffs.

I’m not sure about the rest of the year. He will say he was trying to avoid contact but he basically closelined him.

A good write up on the woes for the NYI.

https://ca.yahoo.com/sports/news/island ... 27241.html

Maybe Tavares will land in Toronto.

He's got insane shooting % at above 20.

Really wonder how he maintained that all year long.

Same with NYI's Lee.

I know someone closer to home who would knocking on 40 if he wasn't injured :scowl: - and I don't think any of us would have expected it, either!
