Dude, your thoughts?Blob Mckenzie wrote: ↑Wed Mar 27, 2019 10:24 am Numbers are funny:
Nik Ehlers- 292 GP- 197 points- .674 ppg= 55 points per 82. 7 points in 15 playoff games
Will Nylander- 233 GP- 160 points- .687 ppg= 56.3 points per 82. 8 points in 13 playoff games
Jake Virtanen- 207 GP- 59 points- .285 ppg= 23.4 points per 82. No points in no playoff games. Should find out about his playoff performance in 2021 or 2022.
So I guess the problem is the cap hit of these other players. I mean they’re making fucking Eriksson type money.![]()
Blob is a MASSIVE DeBrincat fan. He should be all over this shrimp as well. Could be a steal. I say “DO IIIIIIIIIIIT”!SKYO wrote: ↑Thu Mar 28, 2019 12:35 pm Speaking of mini-mouse - Cole Caufield.
He's up there in goals per game of former US elites.
- Caufield .981
- Kessel .945
- Matthews .917
- P. Kane .897
In a few years some teams might be wishing they took a chance on this fella, Caufield in his highlights - his shot he's a natural sniper, so effortless his snipes to top corner.
Why are you comparing a 2016 veteran UFA signing to two 2014 draft picks you constantly get mad at Benning for not drafting instead of drafting Virtanen who is making $6 Million less than those 2 and producing as well as those 2 players this season but isn’t razor thin as those 2 players, hits, an excellent skater, huge, can fire the puck. With how concerned you are with the cap you should be thrilled with having Jake at $1.25 Million instead of Will at $10.2 Million (6 goals) and razor thin perimeter player injuries - Mason Ehlers at $7 million whom both were universally criticized for their piss poor playoff performance last year.Blob Mckenzie wrote: ↑Thu Mar 28, 2019 7:07 amDude, your thoughts?Blob Mckenzie wrote: ↑Wed Mar 27, 2019 10:24 am Numbers are funny:

Ok...
The Penguins disagree Gudbranson is overpaid...So in this case of young proven players getting paid what they’re worth, you have a massive problem with their cap hits. But in the case of Air Thief, Birdbones and Gudbranson it doesn’t matter is they’re grossly overpaid
Not sure where you got your points pctg numbers from, but whatever. Either way I responded to the board troll who flips his shit about two market value contracts for two young players. He brings it up daily. I pounded his post full of holes. Either way if the Jets and leaves choose to move on from those contracts they can do so easily without retaining salary.rikster wrote: ↑Fri Mar 29, 2019 9:36 amOk...
Ehlers Points/Team points 35/698 5.01% of total points scored
Nylander 26/740 3.51% of total points scored
Virtanen 25/547 4.57% of total points scored

What you refuse to accept/understand is that the Jets and the Leaves are at the stage of their evolution where every dollar against the cap matters, and in the case of the Leaves the decision to cave to the Nylander camp after signing Tavares to a massive contract and on the eve of having to extend Marner made no sense, especially for a player who is much of the same in Toronto and who needs to play on the top lines to be effective...
The time to judge Benning and companies ability to manage a cap while resigning its core players hasn't arrived yet, although if the Horvat deal is any indication that won't be a problem...
Take care....
It’s called sarcasm Sparky. Try to keep up. Do you need me to dumb it down for you?
